You mean it's not a myth? Introverts can have fun and relax but they need more time. Introverts can pretend to be extroverts. Refer to manifesto #4.

I certainly will. I believe that it is in sub-chapter 6, paragraph 4. Or maybe it's 5. Is it a myth that introverts tend to block out certain things?

Rosa Parks was a powerful introvert who changed history with the help of Martin Luther King Jr.

When she died, the obituaries recalled her as "timid and shy" but has "the courage of a lion". They were full of phrases like "radical humility" and "quiet fortitude". She called her authobiography "Quiet Strength"

I think it's not a myth. It's the superpower of introverts. They ability to focus on their thoughts, blocking any distractions if they want to.

Thanks for the rep tourist. Sometimes fellow introverts can also relate to each other. It does'nt always have to be a stand off.

    Also useful at job interviews.

When I have had to be talkative -- job interviews, talking to doctors and nurses -- I tend to crank up the music in the car, sing like nobody's listening, (and loud so ten cars up the road on a busy freeway can listen), and bebop to the rhythm just to get myself up hyper enough to talk.

Introvert doesn't mean "shy." It means we re-energize from solitude. (We're doing it now!) Extroverts re-energize from people. We're just not that.

(Also why you'll find many introverts online, but not many extroverts. We're not anti-social. We simply get no benefits from social situations, and it depletes us the longer we're in them, because we have to try so hard. The opposite is true for extroverts. They get depleted without others around, and they have to try to be alone.)
