Save your money and don't date, him, him, that guy over there or the guy that you work with or that guy, stay away from that guy too. Don't waste your time with people who don't value you and don't worry constantly about your weight.

If I were to tell my teenage self something it would be to stop drinking! You are just getting started. Save your family the grief of watching you nearly ruin your life . I would also tell myself that God is real your disbelief is due to your pride and not ever reading the Bible that you are so quick to trash . Their would be much more I would say but those two points are the biggest ones .

I would say to myself do NOT even think about drinking coffee you are going to be hooked and unable to ever quit in the future and it will be something you very much regret ever doing because it will be to strong of an addiction to be able to stop.

However knowing me back then I could care less what advice is given to me so......
Coffee is good for you, though.

Yep love that stuff it's got vitamins!
Well probably not. Still in moderation it is not harmful.

I would tell myself NOT to waste time. It is precious, and it goes by so quickly. I would also tell myself to think before I speak.

This is something I saw and thought it was interesting. Maybe we can all
learn from the responses. :)
Advice to younger self... "don't try to measure yourself by other peoples standards, stay focused on God".. "sometimes you will need to cut some cancerous people from your life, just do it and move on"..." online if anyone is constantly hating or trolling you, just block them for 168 months *don't worry if you forget to unblock them after the 14 years, they probably quit by then*"

Also, I would tell ALL followers of The Lord Jesus/Yeshua (including the youth) that we have been bought with a great price (The blood of The Son of God Almighty), we must honor God with our body and our spirit which are The Lord's. Finally, we must be willing to surrender ourselves completely just as our Savior did, though he prayed to The Father if that cup could pass... Not our will, but God's will be done. Amen.

Thank you for saying something so kind, I don't feel particularly merciful. God bless you and keep you. :)

I would probably ask myself right now if we could hang out. Having an identical twin is pretty interesting!

To my teenage self: Put down the Aqua Net and throw away those stone-washed jeans.
To my middle aged self: Have patience with your kids. You did some stupid stuff when you were young and still turned out fine.

You used to have those bangs that stuck straight up and then curled over, didn't you? Did you used to do your hair while listening to Poison, Skid Row, or RATT?

Nothing.

Not to say I got it all right, but to say God sure did!

If I had been an intelligent, reasonable person when I was young, I would have made much better decisions when it came to careers and college, however, had I done that I wouldn't have been in the right place at the right time to meet John.

Had I gone with my intuition when I was first married, realized I'm no housewife a lot quicker, then who would have been home when John needed help after breaking his back?

Had I known gallstones could be removed without removing the gallbladder, and removing the gallbladder would pinch a nerve in my back, I would have had another decade or two of work before becoming disabled, BUT who would be there for John when he was too sick to even get himself a cup of coffee, once more something to eat? And how in the world would I have managed working full time, doing all that needs to be done at home, and visiting him in the hospital for all seven of those months? (Sure, you do that every day, but I'm not you. You're Super Woman.)

Had I been an intelligent, reasonable person, then how deep would my understanding be of the hideousness that is WoF? How haughty would I be if the first church I ever joined were Reformed? How haughty would I be if I was the smart chick not so stupid as to hitchhike and get in a car with a group of guys? How haughty would I be if I didn't struggle through drug abuse? How haughty would I be if my house were super clean and my act was all together? Aren't I haughty enough anyway?

And the truth is known. I never was smart, nor reasonable, and yet, look what the Lord has yanked me through anyway?

I wish I had gone into business management in college. I wish I had learned how to type normally back in high school. I wish I was that organized productive housewife. I wish a lot of stuff, except I know God has me exactly where he needs me for some as-yet-not-fully-understood reason.

So I hope I'd be smart enough to leave Young Lynn or Younger Lynn alone, if I ever had the opportunity to meet her. The Lord uses the foolish to profound the wise, and dagnabit, he really does keep doing just that with me.

Read the Bible more and work harder in school.
