I need to practice!!! I would LOVE to lead in worship someday within the next year, but I can never sing in the right key haha.

Well that's why I need to become a good singer! I can learn and train my voice. I can sing, but I just need to learn to hold notes and breath properly and get in the right pitch/key.

People do seem to be shy about singing, so it’s good having people in the congregation who can lead the others, but the leaders mustn’t sing excessively loud, I don’t think. I think it’s a bad idea to give individuals microphones when the entire congregation is singing a song.
