God is the God of the living and not of the dead. The dead sleep and wait to be called to judgement. They have no say at all anymore in our realm.
Their time is out

OHHH, the title was part of the sentence, of the body. How ever, maybe should be in the Bible Forum. I know there's a scripture of saying, "there
' a great cloud of witness's in heaven, maybe those are the prophets, or the people witness's everything. IDK. TY.

I thing "great cloud of witnesses" means those who were witnesses for God while here on earth. JMO .. As to the OP question, I don't think they can, because the bible says "former things are remembered no more".

Revelation 6:9-10 ESV:

[SUP]9 [/SUP]When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. [SUP]10 [/SUP]They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

What are your plans for heaven? I see it as a constant joy-fest where we get to worship God continually forever. No more tears. No more sorrow. No more sinning. Perfect joy in God.

Sooo, how does that fit in with looking back in on earth and worrying about your love ones here? I can't think of anything more tearful and sorrowful than seeing our love ones struggling here.

I also see no purpose in using a relay system to God when we can talk to him ourselves.

(And I'm pretty sure many of my loved ones who have died didn't make it to heaven.)

ty. I see this clearly now. To think of it now, the bible says, that Jesus is our advocate to the Father, and no man, stands in the gap. Thank you, for throwing water on, (spiritual water), ha to wake me up, goes to show you check the clock, nite time. zzzzzzz.

Have you ever prayed for their salvation when they are still alive?

Kind of hard to look at the resurrection and judgment as we claim to look at it, and also already imagine all those people now in someplace called Heaven.

I sometimes have conflicted thoughts about it. I know Jesus said the path is narrow.

I know that by the example with the thief one can entry at the last moments. Such is the abounding mercy of God.
i think the parable of the talents speaks to this.

I am not God, obviously. His thoughts are not mine. I realize the bible makes some clear remarks about who may go to heaven or not. Jesus says many things about it, including "Lord, Lord, I did many things in your name...I never knew you",
and “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.
and, "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like ... and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will ... and become like littlechildren, you will never get into the kingdom from heaven. ... But Jesus said, "Let the littlechildren come to Me, and do not hinder them!

So then, how does God judge a infant or child. Or even a teenager? Those who never saw a bible or heard of Jesus?
I don't know all the answers. Suffice to say I believe God is just and fair, and He has a way.
that is such.

I sometimes even wonder what percentage go to the heaven. Not many the bible says. 20%, a third? Whatever it is, it is chilling to think that probably a good many of my friend s and family are not going, despite their protestations to me as to why I am wrong.

Of course! And then some. (Talked to them about God.) Still doing so with others.

Why?

Whenever Jesus told a parable, he said something like, "This is a parable."

One time he did not. The story of the rich man and Lazarus. God knows when a wren loses a feather. I often wonder if Jesus wasn't telling something he remembered as God. Like he knew both Lazarus and that rich man. The full story.

I made a long list of people all the way through high schol and 20 years on. Prayed earnestly. One day a friend when we werre 17 sat right next to me, and couldn.t believe it was me, I felt like I just saw him yesterday in my spirit, and he was drawn. Yes I pray always, "Pray always in every circumstance."bible verse

Its good to know that you have prayed for their salvation. We cannot comprehend the mind of God. His ways are mysterious. We cannot judge and only God can judge us. We can never tell but with our prayers for them, Jesus might show up in their deathbeds or in their dreams and as He reveal himself gave them a word of salvation.

For it is written, if you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. Its a word from Jesus himself. Would He not hear your hearts desire?

He hears my heart's desires. They aren't always the same as what he wills though. (I've been trying to tell my family about God for 44 years. They won't have it. At this point in time, not only did I anger Dad whenever I brought up anything about God, now he has dementia, so he won't understand it. Still, God's will. Still hoping God gives me that heart's desire. Very frustrating.)

That theory to me looks like the thin edge of the wedge leading to the promotion of us praying to the dead for their intercession before God........ catholic religion, praying to dead Saints and Mary instead of relying on the intercession of our LORD Jesus Christ....

Be wary where the thoughts of men may lead you..

But still i encourage you, if you would ask for help, its best to ask the Lord and he shall give His angels charge over you.
