As i am sitting at home with the flu i decided it was best for me to get started on my taxes. I know i have until the 31st to get all of my tax information in order to file, but i just cant wait....this time of year makes me kind of happy.

What do you all think about filing taxes? Do you love it, hate it, or is it just a practice in life you just have to do much like brushing your teeth?

I like to see the good in every situation. One of my favorite parts about being broke is no more income tax. :)

To me it wasn't like brushing my teeth. It was like cleaning my toilet. Might be required, but I hated it with a passion.

If you enjoy taxes that much you should volunteer through VITA, I've been preparing taxes on a volunteer basis in my community for the past several years through the program

I file my taxes not because I enjoy it, but because I have to.

I've been doing my own taxes, but it might be more complicated this year since I've been on Obamacare.

But, what if i look forward to doing that every single week to the bathroom? Sometimes i find myself doing it more than once a week ;)

I probably would, but with my degree i would rather charge people for my services...granted i would just need to take an exam, but thats not far away :)

I generally do them myself, it's not a whole lot of fun, I must admit. I would rather go to the dentist- but I'm weird and actually LIKE going to the dentist. :D

Going to the dentist is fun, but i hated going to the orthodontist:confused:

I was blessed and didn't have to go to the orthodontist. I hate you had to have braces. A person I work with told me she had to wear braces from third-twelfth grades! That is a long time.

Do you do windows too? If so, when can you start? lol

On a more serious note, if you are self employed, helping the community is good PR for your business.

You know how the bible says money is the root of all evil? I think having to file taxes is the fruit of that evil! :p

My biggest problem wasn't doing it. My fear was it was a pass/fail test, and if I got just one thing wrong, I'd be hearing the clank of the jail cell door behind me. The IRS still scares me, and I'm not doing anything wrong. :eek:
