I'm wondering in your life, how God uses everyday situations. Here is one of mine.

So today the Lord gave me strength to finally get to Target to bring my recycling. While shoving the plastic sacks into the bin, I felt my ring come off my hand and into the bin with all those sacks! Nearby is a Starbucks, and I told the barista and man sitting (perhaps a Target employee, I thought), what had just happened, and that I needed to get to my ring. Jeremy (learned his name later) jumped up to the rescue. He removed the top of that bin and dove in past all the bags, and found my ring at the bottom! I thanked him profusely and hugged him. Then I said "I have something for you too!" Reaching into my purse full of tracts, I pulled out a few for him, with "Everything about you is important to God" at the top. He grinned from ear to ear and said "You made my day. I was having a really hard day."

So... it was a set up. I was held back from going to bring my recycling, until today when God gave me energy to do it. My ring, which has never fallen off my finger before, just happens to slip off and into the bin, with Jeremy waiting (little did he know) to "recycling bin DIVE" for it! In the midst of it all, the gospel was given out, his reception was open - a divine appointment to reach Jeremy with the love of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. .
Little things... but then again... maybe not so little?

Hi Abide!

Wow, what an awesome God we serve. I love to hear God at work in our lives like that.

I was shopping at Albertson's one day and the grocery cashier began telling me about her leaving a town about 400 miles for ours.

She had just left her husband and her daughter gave her a hard time for leaving. She really hurt her mom by saying she never wanted to see her again and that she wouldn't come to her funeral when she dies. The woman teared as she told me her story.

I was able to tell her about me wanting to divorce my husband and how God miraculously intervened to save our
marriage.

And I told her to not be too hard on her daughter.... that she said those things because she loved her and spoke out of hurt because she (her mom) moved away and she won't be able to see her anymore - not day to day like normal........to just give it some time and the relationship should improve.

She gave me a look of shock.....I don't know what that was about, but then she asked me what my name was and afterwards I told her I'd be praying for her and her, husband and her daughter.

The next time I was in the store I asked about her and one of the other clerks that I know said she moved back to her home about a week ago.

I don't know if my story had anything to do with what I said or not, but I took it as a good sign that maybe something I said helped her.

The really cool thing about the whole story is that I use to be a grocery cashier at a different grocery store and there was an old lady that came through my line one day.

She started talking to me about how God saved her marriage and I thought she was just daft and lost her marbles with all this talk about God.

I'm a very friendly person normally, but it was very difficult to allow my mouth to crease into a smile of any kind. I think I was in total shock.

I don't remember exactly how long afterwards, but it was just a few months that I was having trouble in my marriage and we were going to divorce.

Later when God saved our marriage I thought about that woman and thanked God for her. I was able to thank her as well. I told her about how she came through my line and told me about how God had saved her marriage and wanted to let her know that the same thing happened to me. Isn't it SO GOD when something like that happens.

So because of that I prayed that I might have an opportunity to share my story with a woman who was going through the same difficulty in her marriage.

And God did it. I was able to tell the cashier at that Albertson's that God is loving and kind and forgives us and that God showed me how important it is to forgive those who do something wrong to us.

And I never thought it would be a cashier and that I'd be THE old lady going through her line at the grocery store! Same scenario. I even thought about how she might be thinking that I was out to lunch or half a bubble off as they say around here.

God gets all the glory and I sure hope that God saved her marriage as well!

I was blessed by you sharing what happened today Abide. And on top of it all while you're looking for your ring, you not only blessed him, but found your ring as well. Glory hallelujah!!!

I've got one.

There I was, sitting in a different church than my own.
I hungered for the lesson, so I showed up an hour early.
Actually, it was just miscommunication on my part.
Well, just as they were about to begin, a gentleman stood out to be-- though he was seated.
I recognized him, but I had no idea why. "Tuesday" he said. I was like, Tuesday?
"You know, the store; I met you before on first day of work, before your shift."
Ah.... I finally made the connection, but like 90s dial-up v. a 2017 Silicon Valley.

After the message, a deep lesson on reasoning that used words I never saw before,
the man began talking about spiritual people vs. religious people, compared to the study.
Well, the man behind us spoke up and listened for a bit, when I finally jumped in.

The Tuesday man was thirsty for the Word, but did not know it. However, when the second man and I started ping-ponging
Scripture to each of his questions, his eyes lit up. He basically said, "Man, I need learn more of the Bible." And he proceeded to ask about different topics. Each time, however, we pointed him to the Bible. And each time he was thrilled with what he was learning.

Why do I share this? Well, I was not even going to go to the long-awaited lecture.
Sure, I meant to, planned to, and wanted to. But just be for leaving to attend the
Wednesday Bible study, I noticed a "flaw" in my physic. Something about me was not as I wanted to be experienced as possessing/lacking, so I nearly opted to stay home. Only, I did not do this because the prayer room had just prayed for God to move in a big way at said gathering.

I would not have met Mr Tuesday
were it not for my work
I would not have gone to the group,
were it not for the prayer
I would not have shared with Mr Tuesday and another Brother,
were it not for the specific lesson and a question raised.
It was my second time to the evening class.
It was Mr Tuesday's first.

God gets the credit for perfect timing, even when I am off.

(I forgot to mention that I thought it started at B time, but someone said A time.
However, I did not make A time because I dwelled on my flaw too long. Instead of altogether miss the lesson,
I decided to swallow the pride and go in late. Except, I was 45 mins or so early to actual time.)

Tuesday, work, and this place of worship are within 2 minutes of each other.
Me thinks Mr. Tuesday and I will have another unforeseen conversation.
Pray that I listen. Pray that God gets the glory.

Wow Desertsrose!!! Telling the story - sharing the details... doesn't it remind us how God is into all the details? How He puts us in places we do not understand, allows us to go through things we do not understand, then sends people our way, to pass along what He has given us??? HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!

Your lovely story, IDEAtor, reminds me of the verse "the Lord directs his steps" ...
