Islam is the embodiment of tyranny. Not sure how you can get around that one.
Diversity. Must have diversity. I think it's code for we also need to live like the third world so everyone is equally abused and impoverished.

How many Muslims have you met? I know there are radical ones but the girl in my Theology class back in college was nothing but nice to me and everyone else.

Oh we must not say that Mohammed was a wicked evil demonized adulterous war mongering pedophile, no no no, Islam does not allow for the telling of the truth. We must pretend that their barbarism and savagery is equal to or greater than the love that Jesus Christ professed.

How many of the more than one hundred verses in the Koran instructing them to enact violence upon us or kill us if we refuse to submit to them have you read?

Its cool tho. He was born that way. Had a predisposition to pedophilia and murder. We must learn to accept that people are different.

Oh yes, allowing for the rape and ongoing unmitigated sexual abuse of children is a dearly held value of progressive liberalism.

Yup. If they fail to murder them in the womb they still have their spirit to murder in the name of multiculturalism.

I really think that there ought to be a distinction made between Muslim and Islamist.

People like your friend exist and ought to be recognized as fellow citizens as long as they agree to abide by American law and custom.

How many Muslims have you met? I know there are radical ones but the girl in my Theology class back in college was nothing but nice to me and everyone else.

If people like your friend live in a bad area of the Middle East, they're considered "Reformers" and "Allies."

Go to war with all of Islam and those disappear quickly.

None but I know this argument well and have been in it before. Let me put it this way should we allow everyone to have a bad view of Christians just because one person or a small group out of thousands did something terrible? No, because that's a group not all of us. I think just like with the Bible there are people who are Muslim that do not follow all of the teachings. I don't know if you have experienced this yet but I have been called stupid just for being Christian before and insulted none stop. People assume a lot these days. Just because something has this verse or that on something does not mean everyone follows it to the T.

I am sorry if you don't like my answer. I respect yours regardless

My answer is a little different.

I think the view you present, Magenta is the essence of orthodox Islam. The Koran does make those commands and people who carry them out are following orders.

But who says all Muslims on earth have to be orthodox Muslims? :p

I would cease and desist in the Middle East
I would open the U.S. and surrounding waters to drilling and oil production
I would build the military and go back to a defensive posture of the U.S. and SELECT ALLIES
I would supply Israel with whatever they needed (regardless they are the only Democracy in the M.E.)
I would change the approach we have with the U.N. and NATO
I would re-evaluate our responses around the world toward certain STATES (Syria, Saudi etc...)
I would (like Israel) require all men to serve 2 to 4 years in the military (2 if you join, 4 if drafted)
I would end sanctuary cities
I deport ALL who are here Illegally (Eisenhower did it) some 10 million
I would harden our borders and clip immigration (we already have 321 million people)
I would do away with common core which produces idiots
I would adopt Australia's health care
I would do away with the FED
I would do a 10% tax across the board for everyone
I would utilize the Military (already being paid and embellished by required service) to build our infrastructure and guard the borders
I would appoint conservative judges
I would seek the change of the law as applied to any law anti-Christian
I would sell back to the state and people most LAND owned by the FED
I would seek a national carry law
I would cease ALL CRP land and pay or let the farmers to plant and feed the world (we could in the 50's)
I would seek a joint operation with Russia and China to defeat radical Islam (only including nations that are not sold out to RADICAL ISLAM)
I would seek a way to finance massive research into curing diseases and the development of new technologies

etc......and off the hip!

If we get rid of Islam though what do we do about Westboro baptist church? Because to me they are radicals also. (I'm not even sure if I can really call them Christian anymore, though)

You choose to overlook what Islam specifically teaches, and then compare it to NOT following what Christianity teaches? I have seen this argument before, also. You wish to say that Muslims are free to practice their religion as they see fit even though some really are not practicing their religion at all, then you take those some who do not follow the dictates of their religion and hold them up as an example of what their religion really is or is supposed to be. I am sorry, but you have it backwards. Their paragon of virtue is an adulterous war mongering pedophile, and they see him as superior to Christ, and Christians are to say, oh, this is acceptable because we are to be tolerant to those who wish to put a knife to our necks if we refuse to submit to their barbarism and backwardness? They are supposed to accept the Bible, you know. The koran dictates that as well. Do you think they do? No, of course they do not. They would rather say it is corrupted and untrustworthy and any and all manner of blasphemies against what Scriptures teach because they are IN FACT anti Christ.
