I've never actually seen a parsnip.

Are you sure they're even real?

no Max, we don't know with any certainty if they are real, even in the stores -
it might have been in an old Disney-movie' where we caught a glimpse of them...:rolleyes:

I've heard of those "Parsnipity" people....is that a warning to stay away from them?

Yesterday was my wife's birthday. We have a standing agreement not to buy big gifts for each other, but we usually get something small that will be appreciated. I don't usually do joke gifts, but this was sort of one. I bought her an assortment of her favorite chocolates, unwrapped them all, and put the chocolates in a different sack. Then I gift wrapped a box with the empty wrappers in it. I gave our six year old son a piece of chocolate to eat while I gave my wife her gift package with empty wrappers in it. I had made her a card with the following poem that I composed, and gave it to her after she had opened the gift and had a perplexed look on her face:

Today is your birthday,
I hope you have fun!
I bought you some chocolates,
and only ate one.
Our young son came by,
and he ate all the rest.
You know how he loves chocolate.
He could not resist!

(After she had a good laugh I gave her all the birthday chocolate. lol) :)

I laughed when I saw the CC front page right now listing two of the newest forum threads as:

Boil follow up
Pierced By His Love

Perhaps I just have an odd sense of humor. :)

I got hit by a car while riding my bike. The old guy wouldn't give me his name, or insurance, so I had to call the police. 3 squad cars and 5 police showed up. It was a bit of overkill.

My lower back is hurt, and I am in shock.

I didn't expect that to happen in Phoenix.

What a terrible thing to happen, especially while on vacation. I pray that your back is not seriously hurt. How upsetting.

Thanks, Tourist! I ride my bike a lot. This was the first time out since last season, as there has been snow and cold at home. So I supposed sooner or later we are going to run into idiots.

I'm just going to take it easy the rest of the day.

I bought a Ping Crossover hybrid 4-iron today. I hit it about 185 to 190 in the air, and fairly straight. I'm stoked to get out on the course with it. Unfortunately I'll be travelling for a couple of days.

I made cookies. A lot of them...and donuts. A lot of those, too. Actually over did the donuts so I bought a bunch and blessed people with them. It's my job to make the donuts...: )

Well, ok, I considered posting, then not posting the aforementioned status...I guess I posted it. In God's grace, I want to be the best person I can be and find a smidgen of appreciation for who I am from comrades. Struggling with that

Wow, Angela, the guy left the scene?! Funny on the amount of police, but it's better to have too many. :)

I hope you're not seriously injured. :( I'll keep you in prayer. Have you been to see a doctor yet?

Hugs!!!
