It's great to read that your dad was able to get out with your mom ! As for the rain ? Rain is a blessing for us folks in the desert.

I decided I was going to try to make a violin (I haven't started but I got materials, wish me luck lol)

I also decided I was going to address an issue at a city Council meeting (also, wish me luck)

Yep, that's about it

Went to a funeral at an Episcopalian church.
Sometimes life can only be found in a place of death
The truly interesting thing is that this woman went to not only our Vineyard church and this Episcopal church, but we learned that she attended a variety of churches. The father who officiated agreed with me that she didn't "go to church".... she "went to Christ."

Denominations, to her, meant very little.

I have a friend who is very talented. She has made a number of guitars and dulcimers. She has around 25-30 hanging on the walls in her "music room."

I don't know what made me want to attempt this. It just sparked in me. It is going to be an interesting experiment, that's for sure

The last guitar she made was done using a cigar box for the body.

I have a neighbor who makes hair clips using piano wire....they are beautiful and hold up a lot of hair without breaking, which I appreciate because I have long and thick hair. This reminds me to ask her to show me how she makes them

I climbed onto my neighbors' wall to watch the sunset. We just had a storm pass through; between the remaining scattered clouds and a lot of smog getting swept out of view on the horizon, it was gorgeous.

Then their dog started barking at me...
