was this an angel I saw?

I was laying on my bed staring at my window which had closed shutters. A woman's face (neck up) then appeared, surrounded by cloudy white background. She was beautiful and was smiling at me. She was very angelic and that's what made me somehow feel she was an angel. This only lasted for a second it felt like, then disappeared.

We are told not to trust the spirits, but to test them.

I believe that its possible that you did see an angel. But not every angel is from God, and there are many false prophets who were guided by an angel who lead many away from Christ.

If this vision returns to you, be careful of what it says. If it works to lead you away from Him, it is not from God.

Satan masquerades as an angel of light.
