Everyone claims things as their own, and then names them. The things are pets, stuffed animals or even hospital equipment. (I named the portable Xray machine they used on John "Five" from Short Circuit. His EKMO was "Dracula.") The names always refer to something. This is for fun.

Show what you named one of your things.

The first time I saw my black cat exploring the room, he was just weaned. He was startled by my feet and did that thing cats do -- fur went out straight, he hopped sideways with his back arched and then he did that "I meant to do that" move only a cat can pull off.

Showing his name:

What did I name the cat?

Your turn. Tell your story of why you named something and then show it -- whatever was on your mind when you came up with the name. Not the animal or thing. Then we can guess what you named it.

And this is is the movie we were watching that gave my teddy bear his name. (I'll be fair. His name is Spaulding, because I didn't want to make it too obvious, and I grew up on Dennis the Menace.)

Warning: Some bad language
