Just saw the movie this afternoon.

There are those of you here who will FREAK at this movie, and probably curse everything about it.

And then, there are the people here who will see Jesus as you have often prayed the whole world could see Him. This movie is probably the one movie you should not miss, if you go to no other this whole year.

It is about a man in crises actually physically spending a few days at a house with God's family.

I've heard many great things about it, then I see some christians crying "heresy" about it. I hope it's just an overreaction

Why would they call heresy on it? Is the subject of the matter controversial? Even though religous movies are bound to be that way anyway, i suppose...

These are the religious people who "know" God is an old man with a white beard who says 'thee' and 'thou' a lot.

Go see it while it is now playing in most theaters. You will not regret it.

It follows it pretty closely, however they did change a few things. One is that they eliminated the ending where Mac led the cops up the mountain, and there was no capture of the criminal at the end. The scene in the cave with Wisdom is almost identical to the book..... and probably the deepest part of the movie.

Movie theatres still exist? haha. Wait. What about
rewind and pause? Are they available theatre features?

No, but where we went, they do have fully reclining leather-like chairs.

Ahh could be worse, like hanging a speaker on your car window to hear sound.

Yeah, but people didn't go to drive-in movie theatres to actually watch a movie :rolleyes::p;)

I remember reading the book, and noting the amount of unpleasant reaction it garnered in my community. I think if people try to look at this as a doctrinal statement fully consistent with Scripture, they will be disappointed. If they look at it as a powerful but fictional story about God's goodness, they won't. I'm looking forward to watching the movie.
