I'm debating whether or not to go see the Grand Canyon. I'm just wondering whether or not it's as amazing as people say it is.

Hello Rossella,

I would suggest Canyon Lands National Monument near Moab Utah over the Grand Canyon. I've been to both several times, but Canyon Lands is amazing!

Yes, it's very impressive.. especially at sunrise. It's not something you could spend all day looking at, unless you take a trek down into the canyon... but it's definitely a wondrous thing to see. Meteor crater is not too far from there, either, and it's kinda cool, too.

For sheer beauty, I'd rather go to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, in Colorado, but the magnitude of the Grand Canyon is awe inspiring.

now that would make it worth the trip!
Yes, it does. Ask me how I know....

Actually, we didn't get to do any distillery tours while we were there.... we DID get to go out on a boat and look for Nessie, though.
And we got to meet Hamish, the "Heddy Coo".... (hairy cow)

Scotland rocks....

Sorry Rossella didn't mean to hijack your thread. Now where were we...the Grand Canyon.

Thank all of you for your answers! Well, all the hotels within walking distance of the Grand Canyon are booked, so I'll probably end up going to either The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida, Canyon Lands, Bryce Canyon, or the Black Canyons.

Actually, I was just now able to book a hotel in Williams, which isn't in the park but has a train that goes to the Grand Canyon Village. I'm very excited! Thank everyone for their suggestions.

Why the debate? Why make it so difficult? Why not just budget for a trip to visit it?

I'm all for travel and I think if you truly want to see it, you can. Just budget for it...for hotel, food, transportation, etc etc.

You got this.

Thanks! Well, it was either that or Florida. It is going to be expensive and I'm not sure when my next vacation will be after this so I wanted to be pretty sure it wasn't just a big whole in the ground (yeah, I know it is, but it sounds like a beautiful hole in the ground) before I shelled out the money for it. But I've booked the trip and am super excited!
