Okay so I live in Nigeria. And I know Nigerians have a bad rep but that is not my doing. I started getting some messages suggesting I have an ulterior motive for being here. I ignored the first, second, third but now it's just too much. I avoided this site for three whole weeks and still come back to find my inbox filled with messages from pervs and people I've chatted with asking me to prove am a "real"person. that is insulting to me. I can't help where I live or where I was born. I just joined here cos am a Christian and I thought this was a site for Christians. I am naturally very talkative and outspoken so if am chatting with anyone am not seeing dollar signs. if you do not have anything positive to say to me cos of where I happen to come drone please keep your speculations and comments to yourself. am not interested in proving am a real person to have a civilised conversation. so until I ask for your account details or a truckload of money please do not try to make me out to be what am not. blessings.

It might just be caution as opposed to judging. Often times you'll find people fishing and looking for cash/information from certain countries. So, unfortunately, if you start speaking about an orphanage or some building project red flags go up.

Obviously as a person you are deserved honor and respect, and I'm sorry you feel marginalized. If people are harassing you, simply block them or report them to an administrator. You have nothing to prove, just simply interact with people and in time they will see you are a fellow believer, not a scheme.

You're gonna find that there are people of all different backgrounds and experiences here. Some have been seriously hurt before in many ways. Please try and give them grace and understanding.

This is a site for Christians, but unfortunately, there are imposters. I'm sorry to hear that your inbox was filled with inappropriate messages. Be sure to report those people and place them on ignore. BTY welcome to Christian Chat.

Well this is the first time i have seen you I have not been in the chat room for months so i guess i do not get to see the chat room people.. Looking at your flag i know it is not the flag of Nigeria it is the flag of Ghana, but thats ok you may be an immigrant to Nigeria? Anyway God knows who you are and what your intentions are so be confident in yourself and walk on with hope in your heart.. People are people and yes Nigerians do sadly have a bad international reputation as scammers. So i hope people send you their apologies via mail and befriend you..
