World War III is Coming!

I don't see any evidence of the same stupidity coming along.

Russia is arguably land-grabbing in eastern europe.

there may be a land-grab in the mid-east yet ((well that's what ISIL did/is doing)), eyeing oil resources in the levant.

some people are saying that we are watching Ezekiel 38 start to play out there - alot is happening on Israel's doorstep.



it may really just take someone doing something incredibly stupid to tip all that over the boiling point, and then there are a lot of nations involved - and the US getting deep into something else may look like a great opportunity for N. Korea to do something equally stupid and get asia into the act. think we've got anyone like that in power of any nation with a big military these days . . ? c'mon, i know you didn't miss the election we had

Strategic placement, so we can get our military anywhere with supplies needed?

But what does this have to do with why Christians seem to have a need to plan WWIII?

When my oldest brother was in first grade, my older brother and I were playing in the sandbox one afternoon. A siren was sounding, but we ignored it knowing that just meant there was a fire somewhere, and the volunteer firemen were being called to the station.

My oldest brother came into the yard all frantic and waving his hands at us, yelling something. (I figured out a little later, he had just run 1.5 miles home from school, because that siren had gone off just as school was over.) When he reached the sandbox, a plane flew overhead. (We lived 20 miles from the Philadelphia airport, so planes always flew overhead.) He told us he had just finished an air raid drill at school. He was taught that we must hide when the A Bomb was coming, and that siren and plane meant the A Bomb was coming NOW!

I was 4. I knew what the A Bomb meant.

Poor Mom had to explain to three frantic children that we were NOT about to die any second now.

I have lived 60 years of the world teetering on the edge. My father has lived with it for 86 years, and actually lived through WWII. (He was 11-15, so never went to war, but he lived the rations, victory gardens, and the Depression that ended because of that war.)

My mother's father and uncles went to WWI. (Her stepdad was 13-16 when he was at war. Big kid and no one checked for his birth certificate.)

A war may come. A war may not come in my lifetime. As Miri says, the definition of World Wars has changed, so maybe we've already gone through and are still going through WWIII.

But there is something different about the overall concept of WWIII in modern christian terminology. It has been around for a mere 150-200 years. Nowadays, many Christians believe WWIII is all about End Times.

THAT's the part I don't get. And, worse yet, to quite a few they think it's imminent and their lives will be destroyed. I really don't get that. Isn't it supposed to end when Jesus descends from the sky? Now WWIII seems to be all of "theology." I can understand kids being frantic over a fire station siren and a plane going overhead in 1960. I don't get the same level of frantic of 20-something year olds, or 40s-60s something year olds sure the world is going to end by flaming storm of WWIII, just because they're Christians and that is THE theology.

By very definition of the word, that's not "theology." It's something weird that changed the very concept of "the study of God." God need not even enter into it until the victory lap. THAT's what I'm trying to get.

Would that be in the banana crème pie or the chocolate pudding bowl?

The original question i was asked was where is WWW111 coming i gave the South China sea as a possible starting point.. I likened current day china to the USA at the time of the American Spanish war and the USA taking former Spanish controlled islands in the Caribbean and the pacific.. So this discussion went of in a bit of a tangent..

Christians should be mentally prepared for the end times.. If they are then when i comes they will not freak out and lose faith in Jesus because their neighboring city has been nuked and they are dying of radiation poisoning.. They will accept things and they are and remain believers unto their deaths..

You need to read the prophecies of the end times Just before the return of Jesus.. There will be wars and talk of wars and a great war..

As for the Bible and what i have read i have no trouble seeing great wars happening just before the return of Our LORD Jesus Christ.. You on the other hand cannot see this.. So we simply will have to accept we do not see the same thing in scriptures..

Somehow this means China to you.

The most likely area of the world where WW3 will start is in East Asia.. The build up of weaponry by China and all the nations of Asia as a response to China's aggressive expansionist foreign policy in the south China sea makes Asia like a pre-WW1 Europe..

Most people are focused on the Middle east but that has not changed much over the last 50 years a lot of small wars and civil wars.. But in Asia you have large modern sophisticated defense forces capable of inflicting far more damage upon each other then the powers of the Middle east.. China India Pakistan Korea North and South Taiwan Japan and Vietnam all have large and well equipped armies ..

China is like the USA just before the time of the Spanish American war in 1898.. The USA has secured it's mainland and had secured borders with Canada and Mexico.. So it decided to expand it's power to wrestle control over the Caribbean to do so it had to pick on one of the Imperial Powers who owned Islands in that sea and it picked the weakest one Spain and attacked it's colonies .... China now is doing the same thing in the South China sea and is seeking to take islands from Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines and too expand its power into south east Asia and the western Pacific..

China is now using their North Korean ally to ramp up pressure on South Korea and Japan this is an extremely dangerous game China is playing.. If any of these arenas get out of control a major War will rapidly expand because all of these nations have the modern weaponry in large supply to quickly escalate the conflict..

Russia is not land grabbing. Crimea belonged to Russia. During the days of the USSR Kruschev who was Ukrainian
handed the Crimea over to the Ukraine. Most of the population there are Russian. The other areas of the Ukraine are
mainly populated by Russians as well.
