I read this pamphlet that I acquired from the Muslim Students Association at my university, who's goal was to slam the Trinity. One thing that it said, which should be historically verifiable, is that the Essenes were tortured into accepting the Trinity. Is there any truth to this? I tried Googling 'essene torture', but the only hits I got on instances of torture were those inflicted by the Romans.
I'm starting to think that this is sloppy/dishonest work, and that torture against the Essenes in the name of the Trinity is a positive that cannot be disproved.

Believe nothing of what you hear (read) and half of what you see. I find this to be fairly good advice, don’t you?
