Lately I am aware that I am not seeking Gods glory in all things - I am serving Him in hope of my own ultimate glorification. Is this wrong? If so, how can I correct this problem and will you pray for me please.
Thank you.

A prideful issue is no fun to face because it wont leave without a struggle. A struggle that will lose without God. Pray and before you do all things remember to think and proclaim Give God the glory. And be self conscious of when you try to be self seeking and correct it. Acknowledge God for who his and what he has done for you. We are drawn to do great things for God but oh so easily forget to give him the honor. After all its usually God who led you there, you listened and began to follow. But once you listen and follow always self check yourself for the correct intentions.

As long as we're concerned about our pride, then we're engaging the correct perspective.

Spending more time reading the scriptures, and pouring God's word through our mind, is a good solution to all of our spiritual ills...
and none of us has a shortage of those.

*** become more aware of God's will and purpose in your life--- being aware of your glorification is healthy, but transfer some of it to the now'-- be glorious on Earth to honor your Father in heaven...

Hi Mooky, listening to praise music takes my mind off me and focuses on Him. I refresh my mind by focusing on how faithful He is and has been. He loves us dearly a d understands our struggles.

If you are as concerned about this as you sound, I would say you probably have far less problems with it than many who don't experience it to the degree you do.

First, you wouldn't be asking, if you didn't already figure out the answer.

Second, I was just asking the same thing to hubby the other night. He said, "Pray. Pray constantly."

Yup, not as easy as it sounds.

And warning, it gets kind of funny when you do. The first morning I woke up and remembered I was supposed to pray constantly, I first asked God to remind me to pray constantly.

Then I went to the bathroom.

And then I came downstairs and saw my trip to the bathroom leaking onto my floor.

Prayer answered immediately, but not quite the way I wanted it answered. lol

We are allowed to enjoy life. As far as your own ultimate glorification goes, we all want to be respected, but we want to make sure we aren't crossing other people to achieve that goal.

Emulate Christ, live by the motto "what would Jesus do?" Romans 13:14 says to be clothed with Christ
All i can really say is less you, more Christ in you. And i will pray for you.

Mooky,

if you are speaking of your 'carnal' wishes', a desire for 'self-glorification', then,
prayer and introspection is on the calk-board.

but,
if your are speaking of the 'glorification of the sinless body in the Kingdom of God',
then this is truly a beautiful thi

1COR. 15:41.
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars:
for one star differeth from another star in glory.

The more you give and do for others in a quiet, out of the spotlight manner, the more you learn from it. You will see the true worth and value in giving to others. The praise people might give us for doing admirable things is good. But it's all it is: praise of people. Ends with that.

Seek to glorify God.
Will pray for you.
