Well my girl slept through the night last night. She hasn't really eaten today but I hope she'll be back on all four paws tomorrow.

It has been a long, weird, tiring, stressful week. Think Im going to tuck in and hope for a better week this week. Thanks for the thoughts everyone. I guess the Lord understands how we feel about our pets.

She just turned 9 months. Hoping to get her into training this week. And the problem is shes SMARTER than me.Not that that is any sort of feat. So far Im the only one that can handle her. My father who is a big guy cant hold her back.We took her to the park and she dragged him all the way, stopping to fuss at passing dogs. My husband who is 6'4 cant hold her back either. Im like 5'2 and Im the only one that can keep her halfway calm. We have an understanding, she and I. And Im the one that feeds her, she's smart enough to know that.lol I think with some training she'll do well.

Sorry. My cousin's old dog has gone down in history as the World's Dumbest Dog.

Bit by a copperhead TWICE!
Porcupine quills TWICE!
Skunked FOUR TIMES!

And each time the evidence pointed to her trying to sniff the animal before regretting it deeply. lol

We had a dog years ago as kids, she got hit twice by a porcupine too. She was a Siberian Husky, you'd think they'd be smarter than that. Dogs and skunks just seem to go hand and hand. When we use to travel in ministry we adopted a Shepard and took him on the road with us as protection. The first place we stopped for the night he ran out and got sprayed by a skunk. My father, who has zero sense of smell, let him run on the motor home.My sister and I were asleep in the back and we woke up,quick!!! No one in church sat close to us the next morning. They had to tolerate us,we were guests, but Im betting they were wondering what the funky smell was. Luckily a church member helped us wash the dog. We went by our family name "the Singing -------" but we were "the Stinking ------" that morning!
