Most people are unaware that we DO have an "official" CC pastor, MrPineapple, however he isn't on nearly as often as he used to be and has never really been active in the forums.

We have a handful of users who are ordained clergy but as a site we don't necessarily agree with their specific doctrinal stances.

In my experience, by far the majority of users who choose nics that include the titles Apostle, Pastor, Prophet, etc. tend to have serious doctrinal issues.
The man who wrote the post quoted here is probably one of the most spiritually led counselors we have on this forum.

I've heard some say that this is a forum for discussion only. NOT a place to learn or be counseled , but a place basically to discuss. For anything more you would go to a church or certified counselor. I don't know, FROM discussion I've learned...FROM discussion I've also found counsel. There are false prophets but there are also genuine people who have a calling to "guide" or "direct" in the ways of Christ through Holy Spirit. I've never had that "calling" myself, but I could see how in this big an audience, Christ's message could surely be taught. That was the reason I asked if anyone had listened to a man or woman here in Christian Chat who seemed to be Blessed in such a way. A sinner same as us all yes, but a speaker who seemed to know not only verse but showed special graces in a way to have patience, understanding and most of all love as a follower of Christ.
not a place to be counseled? Yes this is a discussion forum but we who claim to the title Christian are called to be love and to be love above all other things and love never turns away hurting or lost heart. We who call ourselves children of god should be rushing to such people not turning them away. it doesn't matter if your in a satanic forum there is no such thing a place that isn't the right place to counsel or be counseled, Maybe some who call themselves Christians do not understand what love it and how it really works.

Even the most hardened of people have inner wounds and scars that need mending and it is love that compels a person to search their hearts and help to heal and mend those inner wounds, so many people struggle with self worth and only see a sinner someone who is less than the worms that eat the dirt so many people are hurting from life and from their own weaknesses so many people just barley crawl from one day to another barely even able to have the strength to put on a fake smile.

But love knows and sees all of this He knows the inner wounds and pains that we hide all the time and will sometimes come to the rescue himself but most of the time he uses us he uses people who are infused with his love and his heart those who sought to be strong solely because of and for love. No one ever considers the difference a simple word of encouragement can do and how it can affect a persons heart no one ever considers the inner wounds that people bear and hide but love does and one who is infused with his love has the eyes to see and know this and they strive to be strong in love so that they can help to mend and heal these inner wounds.

These are the people who he has called his children these are the ones who are Christian, and yet who knows this? who sees this? who understands this? we have eyes to see yet we are blind we call ourselves Christian and yet love true love the kind of love that comes from his heart alone is so scarce these days and few even understand.

Everyday father is searching the world and searching the hearts of man seeking a heart that is truly after his own seeking a soul who fire and passion for him and to know love to be love and to have love makes the universe itself tremble.

Maybe to some being Christian is being holy and clean and living an obedient life to God but it is far more than that and only love can allows us to see through his eyes. Have you ever seen a persons face in tears and filled with a spark when you saw how low they were and helped them get back up? even ifit was a simple word of encouragement or showing that someone cares? I have seen these faces many times simply because i spoke and did what God lead me to do and you never forget those faces because they move you so deeply and you understand why Jesus was willing to go so far as he did.

Most everyone in the bible discussion forums seems to be self ordained.
It's official, I am.

(Ugly, I've been wanting to say this for a long time...You and maxwel ought to team up. Keep an eye out for him.)

Ordained or with a "calling" to confess to or go to for counsel by ways that Pastors or Priests serve? Or is this entirely made up of Congressional members to guide one another?
It's not the leaders, it's the followers you have to be aware of. Some. Not all. They can sting.

I've seen posts that contain some good information, seemingly sincere questions, I think to myself, that's good! Then I scroll down.
Wham, the post is already in the shredder.

I must confess, I've had my moments. But overall, I'm mild, tame.

Watch what becomes of this post.

So Beautifully said. Of coarse we are counseled and comforted by our tenderness towards one another. As that song goes "They will know we are Christian by our Love"!

the 'world' is on this Site, so yes, Yeshua and His sheep are everywhere...

and yes, there are many blessed, loving-true-hearted knowledgeable, followers of Jesus Christ
on this site...we must always be thankful for the blessings that are always right in front of us,
else, we more than likely will miss the next one -
our hearts must always be seeking/getting/staying right with our Saviour....

It's just an online community. There isn't any resident pastor or anything... but that might be an idea!
Unfortunately most pastors would find this too challenging and contraversial as the
topics are the literal hot potatoes of the christian world, which many struggle with
and they do not have the time to tackle.

I've heard some say that this is a forum for discussion only.
Being brutally honest and open, there are questions here I could never ask in my
church because no one has the interest or insight to answer or even look at the issues.

It has been a delight, and I sincerely mean that, and I have grown in many aspects, both
being able to distinguish false teachers and heretical doctrine and the Lord truly moving
and helping people grow.

God elect will never fail, so as a body if we spend time together sharing it is a brilliant
thing. Some of the testimonies are staggering and make you cry with joy and thankfulness.

So we should take heart, the Lord is both blessing and moving through us, Amen, and
Praise the Lord.

Interestingly enough an online community sometimes in some ways is better than an actual community. People tend to show who they truly are inside and what they truly think and feel here things that are hidden from even their closest and most trustworthy friends in real life, sometimes there questions or answers or opinions that can only be asked online in a place like cc because we dare not say these things in real life

I think it is because of this fact that people who bear his love and his heart, his insight and his wisdom are very much needed online, for me if i had a ministry of any kind or a calling that would be put into effect the best way it would be online in cc

Blair and Peter Jens, I see your point concerning online versus real time because here it really IS safer (or so it seems ) to express deepest doubts or confusions, and everyday struggles for us sinners, as opposed to standing before a congregation and "admitting" these things before an audience who you might even see day to day at your local market. At church we are all inclined to listen to sermon and sing Hallelujah (on cue)stand for final blessing then go downstairs for coffee and cookies... but in sermon there was a question you wanted to ask, concerning scripture, or there might be a heavy issue at home you needed to discuss (but Pastors are bombarded after service with people asking tons of questions). So I see your point how CC really can fill in a lot of empty spaces, with the many forums actively going on. I'm beginning to see that more and more as I visit and read the many posts. I agree, Blair ...Christ"s work is here as well, and your calling might be right here to help in the guidance of a most chaotic world right now. You and Peter Jens and others gifted by Holy Spirit, who might have any calling to do the Lords work. I love this place so far. Yes, as with Facebook or any social media ...I am prepared to not always be so popular , but that's okay too. I know how to ignore. But I find I learn alot in these forums, just in the listening .

We tried, but we couldn't see eye to eye.
