What a blessed little clip you posted ! Yes, I agree, having the encouragement and spiritual support from our brothers and sisters in Christ is most important. Do you feel sad to not attend a Sunday service every week in a church with your Pastor leading and speaking a sermon from Scripture, or do you feel fullfilled enough to just be in the company of your Christian friends helping to build each other spiritually?
yes i feel sad for sure :) but i still listen to their live streaming :) i know its not the same but well.. i should be thankful i still can listening to the sermon :)

Yep, besides the fact that I have no Christian friends excluding my father...
That's a blessing our church has by way of a large youth group and this very young youth Pastor. I don't see them all in church on Sunday, but they have all these teen activities going on. I know because Theres a family hall with teen night where I used to help clean up. They would have barbecues, watch movies, play pool and after they would all do Bible study and take turns reading Scripture. They all just came back from a mission trip from San Francisco that the church pays for of coarse. Lots is sports and our drummer and bass for our worship songs that play in church are 15 and 17 years old. They REALLY help the community too with clean up projects on the beach and they go in teams to the elderly and help with yard work and stuff. The church even pays for oversee missionary work for teen groups they schedule once a year. I'm wondering if through one of the churches where you are , you could call and see if they have a youth Pastor ?

Well soon your moving to your hometown where you'll find a brand new church and you won't be as sad. For now your listening to your podcasts and reading Bible daily. I don't understand why you can't go to your church now UNTIL you actually move, but I'm sure you have strong personnel reasons. I pray Jesus to comfort you at this time while your in a transition period .

I'm not lucky as others who can go to church as they want to :)
I came from a family who dont believe Jesus :)
and when mom found out about me going church (when i go college).. they drag me back home and want me to leave and deny my faith and lot of unpleasant thing after that..
i keep with my faith but my mentor told me to be patience for a while..
many things happened since that (i'm not going to be a drama queen here ;) lol) but 1 thing i know this too shall pass.. there will be a way and i believe He will change my family heart :)

I understand more now. Thank you for explaining. I agree with your mentor too. This too WILL pass and there will be a time to scream Hallelujah! loud as you want ! I pray too that your family will come to accept Jesus just by seeing Him through the love He has placed in your heart.

Tomorrow at our church we will have everyone there to clean up the church and grounds and it is followed with our annual barbecue. Fun day of fellowship with families with hands put together in work to keep our church clean and nice , and then sitting down with one another to enjoy a little feast. Another way to actually meet members that you've only greeted in passing at service too. Hope theres some sunshine thrown in with that barbecue, as this island seem to LOVE its rain !

I've heard that many churches have reported attendance is down, and churches are falling apart. Do you agree?
Yes, and no. Some churches are dying because they are so rigid in their methodologies that they have failed to maintain relevance to today's culture. while others are flourishing. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that churches should water down the Truth in order to keep their seats full. What I am saying is that churches (such as the one that I attend) do not fudge the message one iota however they do intentionally keep their finger of the pulse of their community to make sure they are fulfilling the mission the Lord gave them. The church that I attend has outgrown it's facility that was built ten years ago and as a result we have split off about 1/3 of the congregation to plant a new location.

And finally, if you read scripture daily and walk in as straight a path as you possibly can according to Christ's teaching, would you say Church is necessary at all?

When you read through the New Testament you don't see anything about lone wolf Christians. You do however see clear instruction to not forsake the gathering of the brothers. 1st Corinthians 12 likens the local church to a body in which we all play a role. If you aren't active in your local fellowship you have robbed the body of a vital part.
