but, here's the saddest part,

we, we/some/of us, actually allowed the follies of the world's demonic systen' to dictate,
for so many of us for way to many years, just what we thought the rest of our lives would consist of,
another words, 'victims' of the most outlandish, fillers, that only satan could come up with,
(mostly no questions aksed) -in order to separate us from our Heavenly Father's plans for us...

we both praise and honor our Heavenly Father for the day that He 'delivered-us-out-of this 'fallen-world',
...and then that our true Heavenly/Holy journey began, in order for us to actively achieve the 'righteousness' that He
has gifted/set aside for us', through our Love and thankfulness to Him.
may it begin to be fulfilled/lived out by all of us who are called in our daily lives...

I read the book, decades ago, and it didn't make any more sense than this. LOL

The book is not at all about what most people think it is about... and probably requires more than one read through to more fully grasp and appreciate the profundity of what he is really detailing :) I have read it a few times, and the element of surprise and wonder was as alive possibly even more so on subsequent reads than it was the first time :D

I may give it another look. If I can ever figure out where it disappeared to. LOL

There are a lot of layers to it. On the surface, it is about a father's relationship with his young son, as they take a motorcycle trip across the country with friends of his who also ride bikes. He spends a lot of time analyzing how different people are, ultimately classifying them into two groups: the romanticists, and the classicists. The romanticists take things for granted and never get into the nitty gritty of trying to really figure out the nuts and bolts of how a thing works... it either does, or it does not. His friends are like that with their bikes. They have no idea really how to look after their bikes because they do not understand to begin with how a bike really functions. Pursig digs deeper (he is a teacher or professor) and starts looking at the basics of our society, and the elements that comprise the things we take for granted, and realizes that at some point in history, humanity as a whole took a wrong turn when we chose the wrong way to approach the world, wrong because it would have worked much better had we chosen to go the other way, and this mistake has had far reaching consequences at all levels of society and personal living. He essentially has a mental breakdown analyzing it all so thoroughly. It is a pretty big subject, but always he came back to his motorcycle... It is not really about motorcycles, though :D

I can't remember the last time I read it... maybe about 18-20 years ago?
