Lol, when we were kids, we LOVED the Hayley Mills version. But as I got older, I thought "Man, those parents were awful splitting up the twins like that." I know the scene you mean, with Charles Ruggles as the grandfather (I love him as an actor).
"What are you doing, child?" :). Wow, that brings up some memories of my own!

She says "Making a memory". I thought Brian Keith was highly attractive, Lol.

I love this scene. O'Hara is hilarious. And the priest is highly amused.

The priest is one of my favorite characters in the whole thing :D. I could never warm up to the Lindsay Lohan one though, for some reason.

I never saw the Lindsay Lohan one. I was 18 when it came out, and I probably thought it was a baby movie or something. I generally dislike remakes as a rule, anyway. Maureen O'Hara and Hayley Mills are kind of hard to replace, not to mention Brian Keith. :) I think I had a crush on him.

I kid you not, the only part I found enjoyable in the Lindsay Lohan one...but maybe you plan on watching it at some time? If you do, read no farther for fear of spoilers! But the part I enjoyed was when Mrs. Robinson is introduced. She smiles and says, "I'm Vickie." And my siblings and I all shrieked with laughter because it is the same actor that played"Vickie" in the Hayley Mills version! Several years older and now playing a different character. It was rich :D.

Really good weed...no I'm just kidding,I really love the smell of fresh lavender,I use to ride by this house that had a bunch planted around the yard.

It was so strong that you can smell it 2 blocks away, sometimes I'd circle the block just to keep smelling it.

I hardly think The Parent Trap could be considered "Satan's Movie" as the plot is about a divorced couple reconciling and getting remarried, thus forming a happy family for their children. It's as pure as the fresh driven snow.

I always judge watching movies based on: Does the Word tell me directly no? Does the principles in Scripture register a reaction from my spirit? Would I invite Jesus before the movie to come join me while watching it? And after its over and Jesus climbs back into my body (Smile) do I feel led by any post script notes the spirit left if I want to watch it again?

Cause there ain't nothing like the smell of purity around with the smell of Jesus. His Joy is what gives me strength not the other way around.

I've been saved long enough to know that whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are good, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things.

I think the overall message of The Parent Trap is true- divorce for slight reasons is not good, also children prosper most within an intact nuclear family. They need a mother and father, and the vehicle to express these truths is pure and lovely. I don't think it gets cleaner than Disney circa 1960s.

i find disney to be CLEARLY evil....

i dunno about parent trap

but ive seen some disney stuff about sorcery or magics
horrible morals that lead to a princess mentality, vanity, coveting

disobeying your parents
lying
stealing
idolatry

all in the little mermaid alone which the main character ariel commits only to be rewarded in the end

now for the parent trap i really cant speak on it

but ive never seen 1 thing from disney that didnt go against scripture

Yeah Disney is kinda shady, just like most advertising, the Camal cigarette adds had some sexual stuff where you would have to know where to look beforehand to see it.

The ad that remember had a female bending over a Ferrari with the side view mirror in her crotch, and ya know the implication was that if you want a sexual minded female smoke camals.

Okay, but I'm gonna let you in on a little secret....what you see as you go outside in real life is much worse. Most people know that Disney is fantasy and most people remember a Disney movie as someone falling in love and living happily ever after. I hardly doubt someone wants to hurt someone else because they saw it in a Disney movie. Plus, God created our emotions and how we feel when an attractive person of the opposite sex walks by. God wants us to feel the butterflies in our stomach when we develop feelings for someone after all he is a God of love. It's how we act on them can potentially be the problem

I love the smell of Napalm in the morning!!...........Wait, what?...............No!............I love the smell of Eucalyptus, and Frankincense in the morning. very earthy and natural; contrarily unlike the redolence of Frankenstein in the morning - very much bequeathed as an unnatural fetor if I were to preamble it viz.,my befallen nose I trust.....ironically it makes sense; well except for the 'Apocalypse' reference (unless you know my humor, then it adds up) - Smile.
