Okay, but I'm gonna let you in on a little secret....what you see as you go outside in real life is much worse. Most people know that Disney is fantasy and most people remember a Disney movie as someone falling in love and living happily ever after. I hardly doubt someone wants to hurt someone else because they saw it in a Disney movie. Plus, God created our emotions and how we feel when an attractive person of the opposite sex walks by. God wants us to feel the butterflies in our stomach when we develop feelings for someone after all he is a God of love. It's how we act on them can potentially be the problem
God created feelings for sure...and delights in us enjoying what He offers in His timing. It's beautiful right?! :)...

But for many of us, the fact that He now only wants us to feel His Spiritual emotions in a thing, we will have to come to grips with this new authority of our mind, because it seems so drastically different than what they saw His feelings representing when referencing their human reasoning. The fact is, we must place our minds in Christ. Christ won't over-rule our choice not to listen to Him, and as we place Him in our hearts and head, we must also be pliable to His leadings.

The question becomes will we do that? And will we stick around long enough with His Spirit speaking to ours to see and feel the absolute beauty in His version over ours.

The measurement of our normalicy as a Christian is the mark of God's "Best" and never the mark of our "good enough's." Let's let the Spirit of God talk to our spirit as to what and when and which thing we allow into our thoughts and let's let our conclusions be a faithful overture to His blessings. God gives us power over what we place as ruler of our minds, we must put our minds in God's hands; and kill the mind of the flesh. Then He will influence it, transform it, and enlighten us to His Best for us. Then we just have to say yes to Him over it. The good news is: If we stay long enough; and guard our hearts and minds we will agree with Him wholeheartedly.

i find disney to be CLEARLY evil....

i dunno about parent trap

but ive seen some disney stuff about sorcery or magics
horrible morals that lead to a princess mentality, vanity, coveting

disobeying your parents
lying
stealing
idolatry

all in the little mermaid alone which the main character ariel commits only to be rewarded in the end

now for the parent trap i really cant speak on it

but ive never seen 1 thing from disney that didnt go against scripture
There is a very GOOD lesson in The Little Mermaid, a few I think. One of which is cleaving to your husband and leaving your family (not necessarily an easy thing to do).

And love conquers all, which I know doesn't always happen in real life- but it is the ideal.

you mean using magic to change from a sea shell wearing abomination to a false human and using "body language" as ursela implies and no words,to get him to love you against your fathers wishes as a minor....

(werent married until after ursela... she was fixated on his image before she ever spoke to him)
lol we both have opinions

but im goin based off scripture

Her body language didn't work, though. Ursula knew a love relationship could not develop just on looks alone- otherwise, she'd not have made the bargain.

Really good lesson to the girls, a man will not fall in love and want to marry you just because you are pretty. There must be some communion of souls through verbal communication in order to fall in love and be married. Remember? Eric was going to marry the brunette version of Ursula instead of Ariel because the brunette Ursula could actually talk to him and they could have a relationship.

I'm dualistic. The standard botanical garden smells never fail to impress me.

But I also let the manly stuff like fresh cut grass, gasoline, quality tobacco and gunpowder.

You think Disney's The Little Mermaid would be considered vile by Jesus? Quite interesting. I think it is as clean as a whistle. There are several biblical themes. One is that lust does not work as a basis for love. Her looks and body language did not work, because she could not communicate with Eric- so an anti-lust theme is there.

Also, Ariel sings a whole song about how her things do not make her happy. She wants love- not stuff. So an anti-materialistic theme is there.

King Triton loves and forgives Ariel even though she has been disobedient and actually betrayed him. He is a loving and forgiving father- as fathers should be, reflecting God.

Good overcomes evil, love wins and greed and covetousness does not. Ursula didn't want Eric, she just wanted Ariel chained to her in her garden of lost souls "poor, unfortunate souls".

even if it had 100 supposed (which i disagree with you ) good values

it doesnt take away from the maaaany things that are wicked in it.....

i can see youre emotionally attached and wont agree

otherwise you wouldnt say its anti lust when shes literally naked when she first turns human and wears sea shells as her shirt for most the movie

ill drop it

but i am certain its ungodly worldly and filled with damaging ideals and images

Of course I am emotionally attached. My avatar is a mermaid, after all. I have to "stand up" for my people. I see nothing unsavory in the film at all. We don't see Ariel naked, for Heaven's sake.

But if your conscience pricks you about watching Disney films, by all means don't watch.

Ephesians 5:11 - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].

You people are going overboard about some silly Disney movies. The attitude to where they are all evil is the same attitude as to why people leave the church and refuse to believe there is a God....stop taking things so serious lol

I find it ironic that I had Disney world in mind when I wrote the post. A lot of good, standard smells there.
