Again, you make me smile grasshopper :) You are being anointed to special duty. Yes it includes prophecy and dreams. I've known from the start that you, this kid, is going to blow mountains out of the water for God some day. This is just another step along that path. I almost want to cheer 'congratulations' like it's a graduation day but I'm not sure if that wouldn't be overboard lol

And this is why

The strong are inflexible. The wise are set in their ways. The pure are closed off. The willing ... now that's a group God can really use.

I remember you wanted to be a knight for God, I said God was looking more for bondservants and by being one you are being prepped as a warrior. Which I guess is what a knight is after all! Perhaps this anointing in oil is equivalent to sword taps on your shoulders :)
Ricky you really are an amazing guy I mean you more than anyone seem to be able to see things in me that I am blind to. The interesting thing about being a bond servant is that in this world they are the lowest and are the last kind of person you want on the battle field but God's kingdom is an upside down kingdom in his kingdom a servant is seen as the greatest in heaven and are always on the spiritual battle field

The oil is not a symbol of blessing, it symbolizes the holy Spirit.
Yes I have been told it can mean anointing blessings and the holy spirit I also have been told it is God's approval of his servant, it could be one of these things or perhaps it could mean all of them.

One thing that remains in the back of my mind is that I wanted to say it was olive oil not just normal oil they used but I don't know if it being olive oil has anything to do as to what the oil meant in my dream

Apparently I was correct in thinking it was olive oil

n the Bible olive oil is mentioned several times as the oil used for lighting lamps (Leviticus 24:2; Exodus 27:20). Olive oil was also used for anointing oil (Exodus 30:23–25) and as part of the grain offerings (Leviticus 2:1–10). Kings were anointed with olive oil as a sign that they were chosen by God to rule (1 Samuel 16:1). As an important ingredient in the recipe for anointing oil, olive oil was used to sanctify priests (Exodus 29:7) and the tabernacle and all its furnishings (Exodus 40:9). Olive oil was also used in cooking. Olive trees grew in Israel (Deuteronomy 8:7–8), and the people in that region used the oil from pressed olives as people in other cultures might have used butter or animal fats.

Olive oil was an important part of Jewish culture because of its many uses. Because of its centrality to much of Jewish life, olive oil was sometimes used as a symbol of richness, joy, and health (Jeremiah 31:12; Hebrews 1:9). Times of judgment were described as a season when “the olive oil fails” (Joel 1:10).

Olive oil can also be seen as a symbol of the Holy Spirit (or possibly of faith) in Jesus’ parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1–13). The five wise virgins in the wedding party had made sure they had olive oil for their lamps as they waited for the bridegroom to come. The five foolish virgins did not think ahead and had brought no oil. As the bridegroom drew near, the five foolish virgins begged the wise ones for some of their oil. But the wise virgins could not spare any. While the foolish virgins were out buying more oil, the bridegroom came, and their chance to join the wedding celebration was gone forever.

Jesus gave the point of the parable: “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour” (Matthew 25:13). At the end of the age, when Jesus comes back, some will be ready for His arrival (illustrated by the wise virgins who had olive oil); others will not be ready (symbolized by the foolish virgins who had no oil). Considering the olive oil as a symbol of the Holy Spirit (or of faith), we could say that only those who have the Spirit (or faith in Christ) are truly ready for Jesus’ second coming.

Not every reference to olive oil in the Bible is symbolic, of course. But there are passages in which olive oil can be a picture of the Holy Spirit, the One who sanctifies us, fills us, readies us to see Christ, and brings us light, joy, and spiritual health

Sometimes a dream can be just a dream. If it causes you confusion its not divine, because God is not the the author of confusion.

In my divine dreams, I know immediately what it means.

Yes I know sometimes dreams are just dreams but if the dream is very scriptural it's highly possible it's a dream from god. And no it doesn't cause me confusion I simply just don't know the full meaning yet, not all dreams are understood instantly Joseph's dreams were not understood until many years later for instance

You know I just realized I had this dream a day after I made this prayer request in the prayer section

I want more please

I have for a while now been very desperate yo see deeper into his heart and to see and to be enveloped in his beauty and absolute wonder more, I want so very badly to be able to see deeper into his heart and to be in awe at his power and glory and I have wanted a deeper fire a stronger love and and a closer intimacy with him. I am as a hungry child calling out in the dead of night or a babe crying out for nourishment. I want more of him and I am asking for prayers for this happen as fast as possible and as much as possible and also for all that he would give me in response that he might give double to all others who also hunger for him

Last night i had several dreams one of which was Stephanie and i having our faith tested in a giant blizzard which i can post later only if people want me to i don't want to make the misc. section Blain's dream forum lol
This dream I had was very quick and strange, I don't know why but there was oil on my and my face I have never really touched oil before but I didn't really like the feeling of it at first I wanted to say it was greasy feeling but it was just oily I didn't know how else to explain it, it was a clear oil and was being poured on my from above me but I couldn't see where it was pouring from it just had no end to it.

I almost want to say it was like olive oil but I don't know, anyways that was a dream I had last night it was a very strange night I had three different dreams and one of them already came true. I had a dream that when I got on cc I had four pm from four different people my inbox was empty last i checked but then in came on cc today and was shocked to see four pm from four different people.

No idea why i had a dream about that and it came true but I thought i should say that part
You know the saying, "with great power comes great responsibility?" Well, when I read your post and how you didn't like the oil, the thing that came to my mind is that God is equipping you, for ministry, and you may not like that you'll have to get past your comfort zones. So, while its awesome God is equipping you, you have to realize that with this power, if you will, it also calls for responsibility. That responsibility being that you be not hindered. That is God tells you to do something, you do it. He speaks and you do. "Go across the room and lay hands on the elderly lady." Yes, the one that is surrounded by a bunch of other people. Why? Cause He gave you the gift of healing, its meant to edify, so lets get to work! haha :D

I don't know if He has given you that gift, but its just an example, where God equips us but we must grow beyond our comfort zones, and allow Him to throw us into the deep. We cannot let our fears rob people of what God has for them.
