    Default FB dilemma

I have a Facebook page which I set up some years ago, and which I have no desire to let go of. I set it up on a PC using my normal email address.

A few weeks back I set up another FB page on my mobile phone, using another email address with another provider. I added myself (normal account) as a friend on this second account, but otherwise did not use it.

I then found to my amazement that I was able to access either account on my PC (where I am permanently logged in on the normal account).

Today I am suddenly unable to access my normal account, and can only access the new account. I can still view stuff on the normal account, but only via the new account.

This is really annoying - and so far as I can make out FB does not have a customer care line.

Update: it appears that FB does have a customer care phone number, but not one that appears to work in the UK.

I have tried to contact them online, but it just takes me to a Q&A page.

Nah, they don't care, so have no care line anywhere. I do see a possible problem in the future though. If FB catches on you have multiple accounts, they might lock down both accounts.

You do not own or control your FB account.

They can do whatever they like.

Use it, but don't actually depend on it.

It is against FB rules to have more than one account, to use a fake name, and a lot of other things. Perhaps you need to read the rules, and instead of complaining about what has happened, and figure out a way to shut down the account that is not in your name!

Uh huh...why do you tell us about this kind of thing? Like others have said, this may be due to the fact that you are using multiple accounts in your name...

I was not aware of that rule, and have just looked on FB to see if I can find such a rule, but I cannot find any rules.

Anyway, thank you for pointing that out to me.
