Maybe you just found a place where people feel less shamed by others to have to hide their mistakes. There might have been just as many as where you came from, but they knew how they would be treated if they didn't keep it secret.

Personally, about a third (or more) of our church has some sort of record... including me.

Yeah I was thinking about that but I need my immediate fast food fix.
In eastern kentucky, there is this real long and narrow road called Highway 7. On one side you have a mountain wall and the other a 20 foot drop with a river. And its TWO ways! Its terrible! especially when a big coal truck is coming your way....

Maybe you are now just more aware of that segment of society. There are ex-cons in the Pacific Northwest. I am sure you just didn't know who they were.

That is the shocker, for some ex-cons actually think it is cool that they were in prison, and brag about it,but captive honor is no honor.

It's gang or 'street' culture. People with absolutely nothing to take pride in other than their failures.

I had anger and violence issues. I've spoken about it at length here. Did some prison time because of it.

It might take a little Psych background to understand, but that is really nothing more than a basic human need being played out. It happens at all levels of society.... just in different ways. (Even right here.)

Where I'm from we use to have the most dangerous highway in the country before they added lanes.

It was a 2 way road from anchorage to Girdwood that was traveled everyday by the commuters from Girdwood to anchorage ,also by everyone going from anchorage to Homer every weekend for fishing,it was terrible it got to where you expected to be held up for sometimes hours while they cleared of a head on collision where people died.

You know how most people just can't help but take a look at a car crash if they happen to be passing by? That was lost in me when I was a kid and my pop would take me and my brother fishing every weekend, you'd drive from anchorage to homer and back and you'd see a fatal accident both ways.

I think that falling asleep at the wheel was the main reason,a few seconds and about 36" and that's it you done.

You should try the Schuylkill. It's in the industrial section of Philly, and has exits and entrances in the left lane. The entrances aren't long enough to gather speeds fast enough to merge in the speed lane either, and there is a yield sign anyway. I can get on one of two ways:
1. Rush hour traffic when traffic is at a stand-still anyway.
2. Pray!!!

(Almost lost my life the first time I drove on it.)

They learn it from the TV, Internet, and that gosh darn rap music. I said Street culture I never said they learned it from the streets. LOL?

These people have a record they either obtained in the midwest or from wherever they moved from.

I'm an ex-prescription-drug-addict - the 'meds' started doing more 'damage'
than my actual symptoms...it took me a lot of hard years to learn this very
disturbing reality...
