Whew I love this site I love the experience I have had on here in meeting new people BUT there is something God has been convicting my heart about the scripture set aside every weight that so easily besets you in Hebrews 12:1-2. I truly believe that if we do not set aside WEIGHTS that weight can lead to sin and until we set aside that weight we will continuously sin. Hebrews says we have a cloud of witnesses that are cheering us on in this journey of faith and I sure as heck don't want them to see me coming on here making this site a idol in place of spending time with God. I believe for some this is a crutch for them to not walk in TOTAL OBEDIENCE to what God told them to do, because total obedience requires sacrifice. Weight can mean sin bad habits, addictions, matters of the heart concerning unforgivness, bitterness and greed. Do we really know what it means to be Married to Christ? or intimacy for that matter.

Amen...

Hebrews 12:1-2 The Voice (VOICE)

So since we stand surrounded by all those who have gone before, an enormous cloud of witnesses, let us drop every extra weight, every sin that clings to us and slackens our pace, and let us run with endurance the long race set before us.
We may feel alone, but we aren’t. We are surrounded by an army of witnesses. They have run the race of faith and finished well. It is now our turn.

Now stay focused on Jesus, who designed and perfected our faith. He endured the cross and ignored the shame of that death because He focused on the joy that was set before Him; and now He is seated beside God on the throne, a place of honor.

In relationship to God: <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

What hinders us, creates difficulties, Hampers our righteousness, obstructs, impedes, inhibits, retards, balks, prevents, thwarts, foils, curbs, delays, arrests, interferes with, sets back, slows down, hobbles, holds back, holds up, stops. Twists, intertwines, entwines, tangles, ravels, snarls, knots, coils, mats, etc

Now pick a subject in your life and compare it to the above word lists. If any one of those subjects applies to any one of those words let God speak to you whether you need to decide to change your relationship to those subjects.

For example: "
Ambition"

Example 2: "Amount of TV time"

Example 3: "Bible reading"

Example 4: "coarse joking" etc etc the list can be endless... I am praying about my own list, which aren't the examples.

This is good, is God talking to you about things or are you just moved by the spirit in the meaning of Scripture loving others? Just curious...Did you just start? Have you been here before, I feel like I know you...??

(Ephesians 1:15-18)

".... I keep asking that the God of our LORD Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people."

Jesus is the bridegroom, and his church as a whole is his bride. He only has one wife, and that is the church.

I so hear you on that. He promises to show Himself to us more. Check it out...

Whoever has My commands and keeps them it is he who loves me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." John 14:21. =D
