It did for me. My mom and I were eating at McDonalds parking lot. I had my window down because my dog was on my lap. She's a blonde Yorkshire terrier. Well any way as we were talking and eating a I turned and looked out my window when suddenly a little wild bird landed on my window. At first I was afraid that my dog would attack it. But she didn't. What's really cool is that bird ate right out of my hand. It was awsome.

Makes me think this year our Fat Robin came back
She made for herself a nest above the porch light
And every time I took out the trash
She swooped at my head and took flight
I'd open the door and watch her and she'd call for her mate
And after a minute he'd come and watch me tight
But he was a bit calmer, he'd just sit there unmoved
Until the babies grew I didn't have the heart to remove the nest from my sight
But the first day I went out and they were gone I was glad
I took the nest down and so ended my robin plight
But now and again Fat Robin and her husband still show up
And they are still use to me and let me get close and follow me from their height
I like to talk to them sometimes and hear them chirp back
And I am glad God kept them safe and sound and that they are all right

I will share this with my brethren; once, many years ago, when I was probably at the lowest
point in my life, and sitting outside and weeping/beseeching my Saviour, I happened to look up,
and in the clear blue sky, He had written for me, in the clouds very clearly, 'I AM'...
needless to say, He assured me and broke my heart into with this precious gift of Love...

Yes, numerous events that were odd or out of left field......was bow hunting one time and had a squirrel lay on a branch in front of me for an hour constantly changing which front leg it's head was resting on while checking me out....after an hour it jumped to a vine and came down in front of me head first. Stopped right in front of me, looked up at me and just like a Roman soldier crossed it's right front leg across it's chest like it was saluting me....held the position about 5 seconds....put it's front leg back down...looked down and proceeded to the ground to hunt for falling acorns......

Have had numerous birds and squirrels come down on my in my tree lounge sitting 25 feet up a tree bow hunting in Mossy Oak Breakup camo.....

Also had a unique experience at age three about a week before my dad was killed in the yellow cake mines in New Mexico......in the area of ALAMAGORDO/MILAN........look up on map and see how close to "AREA 51"..........!!!!!!!!

When I was on the run from homicidal meth addicts and contemplating suicide I saw a white cross in the sky and it changed my life.

Since then even though my life is horrible because I'm imprisoned and persecuted and threatened with violence everywhere that I go, suicide NEVER crosses my mind.

Once after saying to myself over and over again in my room I am the one Jesus loves, I went outside after that to see written in the clouds I <3 you. I was greatly taken aback.

We were scuba diving a reef off Hawaii when this puffer fish came up and followed us everywhere. We assumed someone's been feeding him and he wanted a handout.

Several to share, but just one for now...

I was in NY and had plans to fly home the next day. Since it was the day before thanksgiving, all flights were booked up, so I really couldn't miss mine.

I was super tired and dozed off into a sleep, without setting my alarm. Just so you know, I'm hopeless at getting up early, especially with no alarm. Not good.

So the following morning, while I was still sleeping, I heard a very strong voice, with what sounded like rushing water, and it said "awake" and I instantly sat up in bed. I checked my phone frantically and it was the exact time I needed to wake up! Amazing. Would not like to confirm it was God's voice, but it got my attention and I made my flight! :)

Bird stories? Cool!

I'm originally from the burbs, then moved into the sticks, and finally got talked into the one place I didn't think I'd ever live -- Philadelphia. So with 3/5ths of my life not fully appreciating the variety of birds around me, once I moved into the city, I expected nothing but sparrows, starlings, seagulls, and pigeons. And that's what we get most of the time.

So, when any other kind of bird comes along, we really notice.

The first was a parakeet. I felt bad for it, because if it didn't find its way home by winter, it was going to die.

The second was a goldfinch. An amazing find, because I grew up in NJ where the goldfinch is the state bird, but I never saw one. (And, it being the state bird, I kept my eye out for that all my life.)

The third was a hummingbird. (Just one. I tried for more, but not enough yard to attract them. lol)

2009alt.jpg

The fourth was something we never expected to find in Philly -- a falcon. (Hubby just saw him again yesterday.)

And Philly is 90 miles from the shore, so the last thing I ever expected to find in our backyard was a sandpiper.

Bird stories? Cool!
I think I'm the only one in the neighborhood that's actually seen the resident owl and hawk. Usually I fill up my bird feeders before going to bed and I regularly see and hear them clucking and screeching away above my head. One owl once did a U-turn, I think because he saw me and was checking to see if I was food, lol.

I love looking up at the stars at night and one time an owl flew past me, just 10 feet above my head. Pretty spectacular seeing it up close. I've also spotted him during the day. I didn't realize that owls actually fly around during the day also. And a mini falcon once fell out of my tree when he tried to grab a small bird for lunch. He landed at my feet, but didn't stay long once he saw me, lol.

I also remember being at a national park, and there was a blackbird that kept following our car to every stop we made. He literally flew directly above our car and then swooped down next to us at each stop. I presumed he wanted food, but he just wouldn't leave. Cute though.

I get a family of lovebirds each day. Really noisy in the morning, but cute.

I was taking martial art classes starting in June of 2001. Fast forward to Sept 2001. One of my fellow students there lost his fireman brother in the disaster. I owned a scrap yard. I was getting a lot of the cars from the site months later. I usually did not rummage through the junk scrap cars, but one day in November I did. What do I find, a mass card for his brother.

Another time, in my mid-twenties, way before I was saved. I hardly ever mentioned God, nor thought of him, nor went to church or read the bible. In fact, I led a kind of debaucherous life. A customer walks into my business, leaves a deposit on an auto part, to be picked up in 3 days. He says I will be back in 3 or 4 days. I say, "God willing." Out of nowhere. I do not know why I said that. One of my employees said to me, strange you said that. Well about 8 days later a guy comes in wth his receipt for the auto part, not the guy who purchased it, but another person, and says his friend died.

Three years ago, July 2014, I am napping in the afternoon, and as I am waking up I clearly hear my mom's voice say to my dad, "Joe, I am going out for a while to get some candles."
The next day I call my mom and tell her about it. She says to me, that is exactly what I said around the time you woke up from your nap.

When I was in my late teen I liked a girl that lived in the same NYC neighborhood as I. She was in some trouble and her family sent her to an all-girls boarding school in Connecticut. I had a dream that I broke her out of there. I sent a letter (this was in the 1970's) about the dream. It usually took about 3 to 5 days for the mail to get to her. And the same for her mail to get to me. Three days after I sent the letter, I received a letter from her describing the same exact, or almost exact, dream.

There are many more of those type of circumstances and scenarios I have experienced. But it would become monotonous and boring for most if not all of you for me to keep going. Also, I do not even think they are that unique in their general elements. I think most of us have experiences like these, just with somewhat different details. God is always weaving his plan. Sometimes we just do not understand the implications.

Wow! Those are sell-those-photos good!

There was a massive storm at my uncle's house. Afterward my cousin found a tree branch with three owlets on it. They all clung hard, but had died. For some strange reason, rigamortis never left, so they were like that in his house for years. Like it was taxadermied, but they never were.

Yeah, I've had a few really awesome experiences over the years. Things I can't fully understand how or why they happened, but each of them was somehow transformational to me and after the experience, I was different than I was before it happened.

I don't talk about them for a few reasons:

1. Nobody has ever believed me when I've tried to tell about them. They are experiences that most people haven't had, so we have no common frame of reference.

2. They are very personal in how my emotions were going or the response I had to them, and it's always been hard for me to open up emotionally to...anyone really. I just don't trust people enough to risk that kind of vulnerability.

3. They are still so mysterious to me that I haven't been able to understand them, and it's hard to talk about something with someone when you don't understand what you're talking about - hard to wrap language around those types of things.

All that being said though, I have had some really awesome things happen to me over the years. I hope someday that I can understand them and the reasons I had those experiences.

The lovebird is actually in the 2nd image. He blends in a bit, so maybe you missed him? When I spotted him from afar I thought someone had lost a parrot, lol. He ended up bringing a large family back with him, so I've spotted as many as 10 at a time. They're so noisy in the mornings and even more so in a group. I can always tell when they're at the feeder.

All the others in those pics are finches, but I did also see a woodpecker among the bunch, when I took that third image...

Aww, thank you :) I took those with a Nikon (I think it was the D3). Still not satisfied with the colors in the third one, so may redo it.

Oh poor owlets :(
