So a lot of us have a story. Some stories are sad. Some are happy. Some are filled with tragedy, and others are filled with joy.
These are the stories of our usernames :)

Let's hear about how you got your username. I'll start.

I got my username from my 3rd most favorite bird, a Bluejay. The name has my favorite color and actually had a part of my name in it so that's what I chose. But Bluejay was already taken on most websites and forums so I just switched the words around to JayBlue and somehow it was available.
Cool idea for a thread!

I'd explain my username, but it kinda explains itself :)

I will say however, the nicknames I've gotten over the years totally make up for my boring username.

My username is an old one I've used other places. I was just PrettyBelle on here but I have no access to my old email so I can't log into it.

Everyone is always telling me how pretty I am and I've always liked the name Belle so I mashed them together. It is also the name of a musical with Angela Landsbury which I've never seen.

I used it on a site I used to perform on called Second Life. Here is a clip of me singing there....well my avatar..not me.

In French the
meaning of the name Belle is: Fair. Lovely one. Sometimes used as an independent name associated with the French word belle, meaning beautiful.

And belle was used quite fittingly in disney's the beauty and the beast!

I was on this site before, but left. And a few months later, hubby had a massive heart attack, and I needed lots of people praying for him, so I came back. Except, I couldn't use my old user name.

It's just me and hubby in our house, and we're both disabled, so dealing with all the responsibilities of normal life with no help was tough enough, but tougher still was the constant knowledge for the first seven weeks that he could die at any moment, then always being available for signatures so doctors could run tests or operate on him, and visiting him strung me out tremendously. And I was solo for the first couple of weeks not knowing I just could not use my old username on here anymore so sign up with a new one. (JesusLives posted my prayer requests for me, until I could get back on.)

Weird thing happened during that time. I constantly felt depleted, and yet God graced me with enough energy to keep going. The more depleted I felt, the more complete he gave me. And his complete is so much better than my abilities even at their zenith. Something like upgrading from gas fumes to something that works even better than merely gasoline. So, I chose this name to remind me the more depleted I am the more complete he makes me.

Things are so much better now. (Hubby came home a year ago, and has progressed so much since there even his cardiology doctor considers him a normal patient again. Woohoo!) I find the reminder more needed now than back then. Now it's something to remember and try for. Back then there was no other choice.

I was once a member of what used to be a large and popular forum for a video game franchise. I used many names that I didnt like before I finally settled on the username "Yeraza", which was taken from a video game very few people have played : p I was using that name at the time when I met the guy I was with in my old life, and he had the _Bats at the end of his username. So we decided that I would add it to my name, too. So I became Yeraza_Bats. I used that name up until I came to Christ, and a few months later or whatever I joined CC, and I used this name.

I dont even use the name anymore except for this site and with the friends I made on that forum, though. Im also still close friends with that guy too.
Whew! Glad I didn't use my old video game name. I get an occasional snide remark with "depleted." Imagine how often that would happen with Jezebel!

But, here's Jezebel from my RPG days.

Actually, 'WineRose' wasn't what I first wanted as my username. It was actually meant to be...'Blood Rose'. However, I changed my mind later on because you can't put spaces in usernames and I thought that name would be a little too...scary/provocative for a Christian forum. So there you go. Nothing to do with Jesus' miracle at all.
Also, as a side note, I have tons of other nicknames which I am known by, in various games and forums:

- SapphireGirl777 (Jeez that was old...)
- Ms. Rose
- Zero_The_Third
- Sapphire_Shinigami
- BlueZero
- Many, many others which I may not remember.

My user name comes from a t-shirt designed by the Mooks designer label. The t-shirt had an illustration of a cat on it which said" Lost Mooky - Reward $$$" ...at the bottom of this illustration was what looked like pull off slips with a telephone number on it - just like in a lost pet poster.
My boyfriend at the time liked the T-shirt and thought it was cute.So he started calling me Mooky. The rest is history. :)

Mine is my middle name because my first name, "Kristal", was already taken.

I still have lots of profile names, for example on ps3 @ home it's my three initials alongside a particular word that describes my antics in multiplayer online play, here's a hint,if you've met me on modern warfare ,I tended to play hide and seek or wait for people in the bathroom or bathrooms on the manor level, with a planted claymore or me crouched on the toilet waiting for someone to pass by so I'd catch them off guard lol...good times good times,or even hide behind a car with an active explosive for people in a hurry!(oh yes I did lol) if you guess it then I'll admit that it was and still is my username, another hint, the word starts my username and on ps3 @ home, and means I was rather erratic lol!

I assumed it was from like a tabletop rpg like Dungeons and Dragons or something, since it looked hand drawn : p
I don't have the patience for tabletop RPGs. Morrowind was my video game. I was learning to draw back in those days though. The only reason I don't still play it is because I could suck up five hours a day and think I didn't have enough time to play it.
