I didn't so much play games, I usually built pillow fortresses and waged war upon a legion of stuffed animals.

Board game? Monopoly.

Neighborhood-kids-congregated-in-summer game? Capture the Flag.

Requires-a-field game? Basketball. (Technically around-the-clock, since we only have half a court in the alley, but anything to do with seeing how many times in a row we could get the ball in the basket was fun.)

When I was very young, I enjoyed riding my tricycle back and forth in front of our house, and watching game shows in the morning and American Bandstand (this was the late 1950's) in the afternoon.

Lego!
Cops and robbers
Stiv heks (Similar to cops and robbers, but the one caught must stand still, legs wide apart, then someone frees them by crawling through).

Catching tadpoles with a friend living across the street

As a young child, I (along with all the kids in my neighborhood) loved playing kick the can and kickball.

Catching tadpoles would be fun. (Or toads - we used to run across the occasional toad back in Iowa when I was growing up.)
