As I'm sitting on the front porch in the morning with my first cup of coffee, listening to the earth awaken with the sunrise, I can’t help but have my heart reminded of the scripture, “Be still and know that I AM God”. That ONE recall of God’s word at that moment brings the LORD so very close.~ As I listen to the morning breeze whispering through leaf laden branches creating a soft, rhythmic rustling, I can begin to sense His presence.~ I become aware of earthy fragrances which belong only to the morning, as each blade of grass begins to warm with the kiss of the sun. Flowers release their “perfumes”, every one unique to its genus. ~ As I take deeply into my lungs, the aromatic “breath of life” permeating my senses, the LORD comes closer as He sees delight caressing my face .



Birds begin to call out one to another, filling dawn with a sweet symphony causing me to lean back in my chair, closing my eyes as my heart recognizes the sweet presence of "Him" ~ Jesus settles in, awaiting to be welcomed. ~ Blending a whisper and soft utterance, a greeting passes through my lips,“Good morning, LORD. I'm so glad you're here. I want to thank you for this day and for all the blessings it holds”. My heart is warmed by His love as He reacts to my acknowledgement of Him…and with ease, our "dialogue begins". ~
