Should Christians send curses back?

May 29, 2017 Kingdom's Keys

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.
“As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.” – Psalm 109:17 KJV
The way in which we view these verses reflects our hearts. Thus, if we have wrath in our hearts we will never come to knowledge of the truth, being the revelation of Jesus Christ within our lives. The Old Testament taught an eye for an eye, but where people error in verses such as Psalm 109:17 is, including themselves into the verse as the victim.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” – Galatians 6:7-8 KJV
Cursing someone whether it be through curious arts or vain speach, is a work of the flesh. Reaping what one sows is one of the the principles of Christ, therefore, speak grace and blessings, even if you have to bite your tongue. For proverbs 18:21 tells us “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”.
Imagine you are throwing a ball against a wall and it bounces back to you, it’s just like that. The ball is what we speak into existence; 1 John 5:18 says “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” Therefore, if a curse per se’ affects someone it is, because the devil has place within their life. However, due to pride we refuse to accept that we are wrong. So when the ball is thrown, people tend to become the wall and then retain the transgression as opposed to remitting it to be bounced back to the one who cast the curse in the first place.
Simply put; you accept the curse by recursing the one who sent it. This is the curse of carnality that separates you from the Lord for He resist the proud. However, if you humble yourself and let God be the judge, He will provide grace for you, teach you, then avenge you as He justifies you; this is to be dead in Christ.
Can a dead man retaliate? More so, can a dead man speak?
The Apostle Paul tells us this for our own good. Remember to walk as children of light. “Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.” – Romans 12:14 KJV
If ye render evil for evil, what then separates you from the world? Is that not an eye for an eye? For such will keep you under the law and render the whole world blinded to the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ who in the days of his flesh being tempted as we all are, instructed his diciples to “turn the other cheek”.
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye?
Do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others?
Do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” – Matthew 5:44- 48 KJV
This is one one the, if not the hardest lesson there is to learn; still I somehow forget to bless my enemies from time to time. Woe unto me for it is in deed a fearful thing to fall into the hand of the living God.
Then SUDDENLY I remember to repent, funny how that works. For when they say peace and safety…
“Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs?
So can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you?
Let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.” – James 3:9-13 KJV

Realize your freedom in Christ folks and no longer look back at the world.
“I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.” – Romans 14:14 KJV
Saints if you believe words can harm you or the devil who carries out the curse is stronger than the Lord in your life, then it is so. According to your faith be it unto you.
Again, “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” – 1 John 5:18 KJV
Jesus Christ is the head of all principalities and powers meaning whatever happens to us, He is allows it. Consider this; did Job’s problems have anything to do with anyone else, other than Job?
If someone has cursed you, they have sinned against you, now be obedient unto the Lord and forgive them understanding that they are deceived by Satan just as you were. For then the Lord will justify you for of your obedience. Dirt off your shoulders, because what the devil don’t want you to know is, when you send that curse back you’re actually fulfilling the curse and evil will not depart; it gives it place then.
“Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.” – John 20:23 KJV
Who soever sins you remit are remitted where?… Unto them.
Or you can retain their transgression and they will be retained. Then that thing gets to bite at us, devour us, consume us, and we pet it like a little pet nursing our wounded emotions, that just keeps eating and feeding on us. Let It Go
This is the true spiritual warfare; for the ways of Jesus Christ destroy the works of the devil.
Doing something in return, even in your heart as you wish or think it, is considered wrath by the Lord. Do not kill them in your heart for you will must line up with the Lord’s and His will is that none should parish, but all come to repentance. Again, love thy neighbor and bless thy enemy.
“Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.” – Psalm 37:8 KJV
Moreover, agreeing with the idea that “they’ll get theirs” in return is evil. Do you see how evil will not depart then for ye give it place in your heart.
“For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” – James 1:20 KJV
When all is said and done, at the root of the issue is FEAR, to which the Lord has not given His children; for we have received power, love, and a sound mind.* we have to understand His ways in order to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Be not deceived, returning curses is of the devil’s nature clearly violating the second commandment as well as the first.
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” – 1 John 4:18 KJV
Have faith in the Lord being patient and love thy enemies saints, for through love there is no defense.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be upon you all, God bless and take care.

Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse.
