Arrêter le temps = stop time. a French idiom, "on ne peut pas arrêter le temps" would be roughly translated as "time and tide wait for no man".

I never did get myself to a place where I liked the breakbeat style artcore. I do like some of the slower stuff though. Also, I've had this theory since I was about 14 that all of music will eventually go through so many shifts that it loops back around to a classical style of composition. Artcore gets pretty close to that, even if it still has too much jazz to be considered a classical style compo in my book.

I'm not going to bother posting a link to anything, but in the past few months as I have been working for hours at a stretch on my dissertation, I have been listening to Trance, House, Downbeat mixes on YouTube. I know NONE of the songs used in the mixes, but they are good to listen to for me and the beats help me keep pace with my typing. I know I look like a moron sitting here at the computer with my headphones bobbing my head like I have a neurological condition as I type, but oh well.
