I often wonder about this. In heaven, will there be 'fantasy'? Will people spend time to imagine things? Will people write fiction? What do you think?

Well, I consider that music is made in Heaven, right? Angels are singing songs, melodies are being made, and people are worshiping the Lord. So, in this respect, imagination is in full swing and creativity is alive and well. As far as fantasy is concerned, well an apostle couldn't even repeat the things he saw (in Heaven) otherwise people would think he was crazy; so as the saying goes, "truth is stranger than fiction." We might just be amazed at how fantastical reality is.

Heaven is beyond human comprehension. So whatever "fantasy" thought you had probably would be before you in seconds. There is no purpose to write fiction since nothing is impossible in Gods kingdom.

This is a good question. I don't know (of course, none of us knows). Heaven to me is supreme pleasure. Imagining and fantasizing things gives me pleasure, so I would think it does occur in Heaven. Perhaps in the form of fantasizing and imagining what other worlds God has created.

People will be writing stories, making art, making movies, making music. I agree with Ben, about this. So, I think the imagination will definitely be in full swing- better than ever.

Think about this Abigail, heaven is not our final destination, the new earth is. We will not be spirits without a body, we will have glorified bodies like Jesus.
Now, if humanity, in its evil sinful state, can be overtly creative and do the amazing things we have been able to do so far, how much more when we are perfect?

Maybe. God created our imaginations so it's possible they will continue to exist. But if they do, we will only use them for the glory of God.
