I don't get it. It's like if it's at my missionary conference, then I am of course willing to be there for like 2 hours then break then two hours again. But now, dad has been watching Christian stuff and I just...don't want to watch it. At least not in big runs. It's like yeah I'll watch one but I'm good for the rest of the day, I don't need to watch anything else. Why? Why don't I want to?

I almost feel like I'm eating and I feel too full and am getting tired of it. What does that mean??? I can listen to Christian music all day, I can watch tv literally ALL day....what's the deal??

I should preface that it's not that I'm tired of being a Christian, I never will be tired of hearing good news about the Christian world, but I just don't always wanna watch it on tv.

I can read full novels in a day. I've watched all StarGate shows withing ten months, and Buffy in three. I cannot read more that a few verses in the Bible, or a page in a Christian book. (We don't have cable, so we get no Christian shows.) I also spend off moments for the rest of the day thinking about those few verses, (like how much of John the Beloveds life did he remember his days with John the Baptist, compared to how much did he think about Jesus and what did he see that so amazed him to write that first few paragraphs in Gospel of John? -- what I've been thinking about today), or those paragraphs. I figure it's because most of the fiction I read or watch is interesting, but not stuff I have to get-down.

Two hours of "Christian stuff?" Sounds boring to me. Then again, honestly, I think Christian music is often boring too.

I can't tell you why you are like you, but that's why I'm like me.

It's not really a big deal sweetie I am the same way, everyone is different always remember that. Some people can watch that stuff all day and some can't, it doesn't mean your in the wrong it just means that it's not really your thing. I mean I can be on cc all day discussing things about god and others can be on here for like a few hours and be good.

I'm always so happy I have such good Christian fellowship on this site because my initial reaction to something spiritual is always, "This person does this, but I don't. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME"

What's wrong with you? You aren't them! And, I kind of think that's a good thing. Even if we were all Pauls or all Johns, wouldn't that make for a rather dull community?

Sure, I'd rather be like Paul or John, but I'm not. And there was room for Jonah and David. (Everyone can see that Jonah didn't have his act together, but check out David. He wasn't always the good guy even in his own story.)

The way I see it, I'm the same half hour and that's it. I guess it depends what God has called you for. To sit back on that big salvation couch or for something higher, ask him he will show you, God bless
