Hey I've recently discovered minecraft, I don't know if anyone has
had a go.

Its like lego on a digital screen. I don't use the monster mode but the
creative lego like mode is great fun.

Ive been building a house, it's taken a while. :)
The last picture is my attempt at building a barn!

Oh and the weather is typical UK weather, one minutes its nice and sunny,
the next it's gloomy and raining. I almost feel at home. :D

I used to play in creative mode as well. Learning how to use the red sand and all was interesting. Making automatic doors and all.
You can control the weather and day/night with commands and even install mods for bigger weather and changes to the visuals. I had one that made the sun and moon more realistic. Enjoyed that one a lot.

it looks like a process to me, of Jesus trying to teach us to 'give-up' our
own mental projects and change our desires to enter into His Reality...

Wait! I thought Minecraft was a killkillkillandkillsomemore game! You can do something besides kill?

Or is this Lego meets Minecraft?

As for designing skills? It only has one kind of interior flower to choose from? Bummer. Nice flower, but I like variety. (Your garden is pretty.) Also, it seems all masculine for the interior. I like the wall hangings, but more choices for wall colors. Also, the bed looks like I'd scrape my knees just to climb in and out of.

I like the cows, but how do they get out? Can you have other animals -- chickens, (I can turn off the sound lol), goats, a giraffe?

Where is the library? Where are the books? Yeah, I see shelves, but the books are bundled, like it's decoration instead of readable books.

I'm sure this sounds silly, but when I played Morrowind, I loved decoration my house with books, a variety of flowers, every single kind of cups, plates, and silverware, candlesticks and lanterns, books (because some of them were readable... boring, but readable), and one-of-a-kind finds, (I collected things like the only muck-scoop on the entire island, human flesh, because it was only found in one cave, and all the one-of-a-kind swords and shields.) There was a wall around my house, and I tried to fill the entire top with candles or lanterns. And, I tried for a complete table setting.

I like you're virtual house. Too bad we can't start a development of home-building lovers. You can invite me over for a barbeque on your grill. AND I could bring the human flesh. lol

It might be. It just dawned on me I was about your age when I was building my virtual homes. lol

It allows for the building of moveable structures. People have used it to build elevators, trap floors, automatic doors, strange contraptions... Check YouTube for videos on its uses.

I supported MC back in its alpha but lost interest when it was acquired by Microsoft. Was a lot of fun online in private servers, but also a colossal waste of my time when I should have been deciding on a career lol.

It does have all sorts of different animals and flowers, trees. There are different
themes, a Christmas one, a Chinese one, basic, and a very colourful one etc.
There are different types of doors, stars, ladders etc.

Plus you can grow veg an plant trees and flowers. It's easier than gardening,

I was trying to make a posh mansion. Lol

Yes there is a survival mode I think that's where the game side of it comes from.
Ive just been using the creative mode. The sunsets are amazing! :)

Here's some from a little Christmas village I tried, the last one is a rendition of
"I'm walking in the air!"

Yes I know I'm a big kid at heart, but there again Jesus did encourage the kids to
come to him. (Nudge nudge wink wink. Lol).

Actually it's vastly popular with adults because of the creative possibilities being endless. It can actually be quite complicated to create some things. It's also been reported to aid people with certain mental conditions such as ADHD.
But I suppose you coming from the BDF it's no surprise there's a negative response and a cheap shot taken.

LOL Ugly, get over yourself man! I was actually only teasing Miri that is why I said; nudge nudge wink wink.

But now I see there are other trouble makers outside of the BDF (nudge nudge wink wink :p)

Miri, I apologise if it was a "cheap shot".

Ugly, on a related topic. My wife told me the other day that the creators of Minecraft was actually the same people that created some form of gambling and that this is basically preparing the children for some form of gambling (I can't remember the whole story). It was a topic on a Christian radio station. Have you heard anything like that before? I could not find anything wrong with the game when I looked at it.

God bless friends

My son is 7 and addicted to it. He doesn't want to go outside anymore. All he talks about is this game. I can only imagine, hell is like being stuck in a Minecraft world.

My best friend used to play Minecraft. He made a couple of videos of the stuff he made there.

Apparently he only made stuff from the Zelda franchise though : p But I actually do vaugely remember him saying he made a giant Wario head once. Cant find a video for it, though.

Heres one of the things he made, though-
