So like I'm 26 and I finding myself wondering if I should put away certain things of my youth....

Video games? Cartoons? Heck no I'm still keeping those XD But like some of the chats I'm on, other than this one, tend to have a much younger audience than me. I don't pm any of them because it would be inappropriate but then t makes me wonder, should I even be on some of those chats still if there's a possibility it could be perceived as inappropriate?

Like say me playing minecraft. I love minecraft, it's a fun survival game. But at the same time the main audience is like 12-15 year olds? Should I not play it? But at the same time I play Pokémon and they definitely have a younger focused age group, but I'm still gonna play it because there's more adults on it too.

I guess, despite my age, just now I'm starting to feel that weird sense of not beliniginf as either an adult or a 20-something.

Nonsense :). "Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional." In many ways, I grew old far before my time. I would much prefer to see an adult who still enjoys simple pleasures than someone like me who had to relearn how to play. By all means, if the recreations themselves aren't bad, enjoy them "in moderation" as the scriptures say :)

Depends, there are many adult girls in general who still enjoy Pokemon & Minecraft. It's pretty much accepted for girls to play it because it's deemed as a "cute game" as they say. However for guys it's a different story and rather bizarre seeing a grown man outside chasing pokemon.

You're 26...to me you are at that point of real manhood and young adult. Don't sweat it! Enjoy youth and enjoy the things you like to do. There does come a time when certain things become inappropriate ie; young adults forum verses Christian Singles Forum. You don't want to be 26 hanging out with18 year olds and being anything but a big brother. ( I'm not judging you here or anyone btw...just stating my opinion on the subject)
There's a time to put away some childish things...you'll hopefully be able to decipher this...and maybe you are and that's why you're asking. Trust your feelings. As long as your hobbies don't get in the way of your priorities in life...then why give them up...?

I do not feel like I belong anywhere in my generation either. Not everyone my age heads right for the swings at a park.

You might never lose that feeling, and that is okay. The important thing is that you are always true to who you are. And never lose that playful part of you.

Maturity is not something one simply chooses it is something that starts as a seed inside a person and slowly grows and matures into a giant tree it cannot be forced to grow more and speed up it goes at it's own pace. Me for instance I can speak with mature adults especially the elderly I have no idea why I can connect with them so easily but I also can easily connect with younger kids even little 10 years old's because I also have that child like heart in me and t
the fact I don't look much older than them makes them think I am their age.

It is a gift not many have because most people can only connect to one generation or the other and God has used me to help and connect and build others regardless of their age or maturity with the amount of maturity I have right now. I think your exactly where you need be babe like me I can easily see you as one who could connect to both generations and even the ones in between. Maturity is not always the best when it is ful;ly matured sometimes it is only at it's best when you use it where it's at right now

Yeah I guess some games could be considered a chick thing so it's acceptable for me to play XD. Hilariously dad says he accepts me always looking wedding junk because I'm a girl, so I guess certain things fly under that radar XD

Its so funny how hindsight is. It seems like all the older adults I've spoken to, except my parents, are of the same opinion that I shouldn't grow up too fast.
