Because It Is The Power Of God,

It brings salvation to everyone who believes. So Paul
says to the Romans in their initiation to Christ. It is
important to know the words of scripture, to be familiar
in their intent as to how to proceed throughout our life
in Christ. What Paul also says in another place is that
the law is not written upon stone but upon our hearts.
So beyond reading the words, we need to absorb them
into our hearts, follow them and live them. It is then, at
that point that we become welcoming conveyors of the
scriptures. Their intent becomes in us, through us and
in every way about Him. So that when we are seen by
non believers as living apart from the world, while still
living in the world. We need to be different, we need to
be a living example of Christ. If we are not, how can we
give away something we don't have. If we don't trust in
His word, how can we be His example.

Amen! The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16).

To believe the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.
