Answer this by applying this to anything in life.

I once lost the Wifi in my house for several days. Now I never take it for granted...

if you take an active absence from your Savour, for what ever self-centered reason,
if you recognize this and truly repent,
then yes, you will Love Him even more than before for His Gracious, Loving, forgiveness...

It's a half-truth I guess.

I'd argue seasons of absence do, but that is too many words for a good, pithy saying.

Well the longer I am away from being with Stephanie the more I want to be by her side and to stay by her side and the longer I am physically not with God in his arms and playing and laughing with him everyday all day the more my heart longs and craves this

I am reminded of an old Disney cartoon (I have no idea...Robin Hood? That's the one with the foxes?) Where someone says, "absence makes the heart grow fonder," to which the other person replies, "or more forgetful." I would agree. Did I just say I agreed with a Disney movie??

Yes! Robin Hood. Maid Marian is wondering if Robin forgot all about her. Her lady in waiting says "absence makes the heart grow fonder" and Marian says "or more forgetful". But Robin didn't forget her. It has that beautiful song "Love Goes On and On" in it. I love that movie. :) I love Disney, though.

if it's true, what shall we do with 'out of sight, out of mind' ?

i used to wonder about that when i was a young lass.

I don't know that it works with people, but with things.

Suppose this is true then the relationship in question is not where it needs to be. With that said if the person or situation remains on your heart then they are a very important part and complete who you are :)

have you never known someone whose absence did not cause you to feel more fondly toward them?
i've actually experienced relief, as i'm sure others have with me. lol

Not anyone I love romantically, absence makes the heart fonder in that regard- the longing. But with other people, sure. Romantic love is different.

My mind is permanently geared toward romantic love, I think. It is my default mind set, lol. I have been very busy with work and not online as much. I miss talking to you, as well. I love reading your posts. They're always well written and with thought. I told Morningflower, my posting style is "post first, think later" which is kind of disrespectful, come to think of it.
