I don't go into the chat rooms here. These are forums, not chat rooms. :) Although, when Yahoo had their chat rooms open, I went into CC (Cancer Chat) every day for hours and hours. One thing you could always depend on, is finding someone online no matter what time of day or night. I do think chat rooms can be addicting, however, I'm NOT on HERE all day long. I just check in several times a day.. :)

Nearly anything can be addictive. And there are a number of people addicted to the forums and chats here.
You're new, so the excitement may be causing these feelings. Give it some time, if it doesn't seem to be changing then perhaps make a point to cut back.

I think the BDF is the most addictive forum here for alot of folks. It's like the dark side calls them, and they all come running.. lol

I love the chatrooms depending on who is there, same with the forums. There's always a way to make things attractive. Just succeeding is a different thing

Whoa, that's pretty gutsy of you to say that. Hopefully your head would still be resting on your shoulders the next time we cross paths...

Better to be addicted to chat rooms and forums than many other things.

The bdf isn't hard to put up with after a little bit, you get to see who is who and their true colors. There are many people there who think they know more than they do, but how is that different from anywhere else? I think if you are a sensitive person or easily offended, maybe you should avoid it unless you're looking for practice in self control.

Hi Blue,

Love you new avatar. :)

While what you said can be true for some, it's not true for others. The same could be said for any of the threads. They can be addictive.

So are you saying that when you participate in BDF that the dark side is calling you to participate?

Hi Gracie,

Welcome to CC! :)

Liked what ugly said. Enjoying something isn't addictive behavior. I would say that when it becomes addictive you'll know it.

I had a friend that watched Korean movies and couldn't get enough of them. This person wouldn't meet with friends because a movie was on and just had to watch it.

An addiction begins to take over your life. You eat, sleep, dream and live your addiction. Is that what's happening in your life?

Well, how often do you see ME in the BDF? Not hardly at all. :) Maybe you haven't noticed, but there is a VERY dark side residing in that forum. However, you obviously don't get my humor. I meant dark side, as in, we want to stay out, but sometimes can't resist going in.. lol.. As for me, I hate the BDF with a passion..

It is not a good place to go if you are not already practiced in self control. Being a sensitive person does not necessarily mean you need to avoid certain places, but avoiding vexations to the spirit is recommended, otherwise known as guarding your heart, and that is a Scriptural instruction. Those who love to antagonize make themselves fairly well known by their trolling tactics.
