In my denomination, healings are almost always followed up with telling people Jesus can heal their entire lives just like He just took care of their back, leg, neck, or whatever. We feel there is really no point in healing if it does not lead to that.

It's important not to be deceaved and to test every spirit.

I'm a cessationest, I believe the gifts of speaking in tounges, healing, and prophecy have come to a stop because this gifts have served they're propose in establishing Christ church. Now that we have the Gospel I wonder what the purpose of miricales, signs, and wonders is. Not to say that healing doesn't come through prayer.
Well, I, for one, am eternally grateful God stopped a cycle of UTI. And I'm really, really glad he gave me back my husband.

As for prophecy? If you're thinking future-telling, yeah, I'm not buying that either. But that's not the only form of prophecy. How are you on words of wisdom?

I glad those prayers came out the way they did for you, I believe in prayer. I was used to have a problem with stomach bleeding, a heart arthemia, and severe social anxiety, all gone though God's grace.

I'm reffering to extra biblical prophies, not what we call preaching today.

Aha! You do believe in miracles then.

And, yup, we agree on the extra-circular prophecy junk.
