It sure isn't, God's word is above and beyond on all truth including science. When the Bible is the starting point of scientific exploration there's no need for theory, the evidence beening viewed is in line with Scripture. Unbiased study also confirms Scripture.

Scrptiure states scientific fact before man discovered it on his own. Some examples.
The earth is free floating in space - Job 26:7.
Perfect boat dimensions, length 6× the width - Gen. 6:15.
Springs in the ocean-Job 38:16.
Mountains in the ocean - Jonah 2:56.
Our bodies are made dust, there are 28 base elements of dirt in our bodies - Gen. 2:1-2.
Ocean currents, jet streames - Psalms 8:8.
And many more.
God's word is the authority of all truth!

Stay strong in Christ and be blessed.

Amen brother. I have always seen creation and intelligent design in the beauty and marvels of this
living planet, and in the night sky.
As a child I studied plants and animals and collected rocks. I studied the stars, planets and the galaxies.
I started reading reference books at an early age. And I never had a problem that we and all that is around us are the
product of an intelligent mind.
I read Genesis and often thought that God could tell us more about how he did all this, but I understood that Genesis was
really just a dot point list declaring the truth of creation.

What an opening statement from the God of creation:
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
The very first line, the first verse is a declaration of truth that challenges all unbelievers
whether they pretend to have faith or not.

I am flabbergasted that so many Christians claiming faith want to uphold and give credibility to evolution;
denying the power of God to create matter out of nothing.
In the end it is a denial of the scriptures and the authority of the Bible in clearly stating that everything was created
through Jesus himself.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Creation is hope. We are made for the eternities not the grave.

I don't get why Christians believe evolution over the literal account of creation. Darwin was a univeresalist, all his study was in supporort of universalism. Yet we have the evidence that confirms Scripture, but even if we didn't we should take God's word in faith.

And reading the first book of the Bible as literal is important, even more important is teaching our young ones to do the same.

I suggest not getting too hung up on what others believe but following the path chosen for you.
With the advancement of technogy, there are some awesome resources available today that have clarified the mysteries of the Bible.
Its not easy to have faith, but when the mysteries are un-vailed, the light shines bright.
Remember spirit=energy and flesh is only of this world.

Nice OP and thread. I like thinking of God's Word as, among other things, a higher and truer basis which we can build on; a bedrock upon which we can build something to replace much of the carnal science that was built on sand. I don't think of science as a bad thing. It was just poorly built up in the past. Garbage in, garbage out.
