Since the BDF has been hijacked by the Calvinist, thought I would post here.

How many of you attended a local church service today?

So you've made your way back and immediately begin your assault on Calvinists? Real nice, pal. You've done this in several threads since your arrival. You've made this the topic when it is not.
Welcome back. Or something.

I left the BDF because there is to much arguing and little discussion in my opinion.
I did not mean to assault you. I disagreed with your belief. Was trying to discuss. I failed.
I should not have started this thread.
In the future I will try to avoid you and your post and those who agree with you.

Again, I ask that any I have offended with this thread, I am sorry.

You brought in on yourself sir when you came in name calling and attacking others as you did. I forgive you for that though since you're seeking it and because it's right.

I don't recall any name calling nor personal attacks, but I am not a good debater and may have done so.

Ellsworth,

none of us are perfect here or anywhere else, but this is what we,
all of us should be striving for, to walk as our Saviour has taught us...
and yes, it can be upsetting when we see and hear things that we don't
agree with, and we have a perfect right to comment, but, it should always
have a root of Love attached, somewhere inside...even if the person doesn't
get-it at first, if ever...

please, don't worry or fret about peoples choices in how they worship,
that's Jesus' job, along with all of His 'other duties'...we're to listen
real hard and pray for understanding and discernment, and prayerfully,
we will be able to help in some way, as we pray for/share or speak to others...
there's really nothing better than being led by the Holy Spirit to plant
a seed in our Love for our Saviour and others...hub and myself have received
many seeds of Christ's Love, right here at this Site...

I see that your picture looks like a 'ranch', do you ride or have/raise live-stock?
:):)

Thanks-----I am new to this discussion thing. There seems to be more arguing than discussion. There seems to be an immediate dismissing of opposing belief and little or no opportunity given to those who struggle with presenting our case.
So I will just avoid those discussions.

No ranch, just a few acres in the high desert that we retired on. No critters except the wife's dog.

Don't mind them. Some are nasty on every thread.

I'm not encouraging discord but rather be sorry for true crimes not what these yellow bellies moan about

Get over yourself..
I did at the cross.

Your avatar? It tells a different tale about you. A 2 Timothy 3:2 like tale.

That and you dog my steps from thread to thread to behave like this. Very callow of you. :D

I typically attend on Saturday but I didn't do that either because I was on I-75 heading home. For the past year I have been unable to attend due to my current work schedule but I hope to somehow rearrange it so that I can resume attending church with my wife.

Arguing is the fun. No debate, no fun. You have to take it for what it is worth. Likes and rep. is the cherry on top, no more no less; they feed the ego...lol Oh I forgot we are all "Christians" here, no ego.... lol

Well, this thread took a jump down a pit...

...Aaaaand no, I don't go to any church. I just don't think that it's necessary for me as a Christian.

Hi Ellsworth,

Welcome to CC! :)

It's sad, but most of us go through this ugly mess when we first join up. It happened to me as well. Say one thing they think is error and they are all over you as a shark to blood ready to devour.

There are so many more though that are here for Christian fellowship and for truth, but are clothed in love towards others as they share our Lord's truth.

As we grow in love for God and love for others, we'll begin to care about the eternal destiny of mankind in our thoughts and actions.

As Jesus said, "He who has seen me have seen the Father", so may we also say:

“Let the Beauty of Jesus”
Tom M. Jones

Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me
All his wonderful passion and purity
O Thou Spirit divine, all my nature refine
Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me.
