I am the rare Asian native English speaker.

I am currently studying French, but only because me and my mom agree that it's easier to learn than Chinese. However, once that's over, I feel like learning Japanese in my free time.

My native language is English, but I learned it from my parents and their English skills were not to good.

They were speaking Cajun French, but they insisted on teaching me English, and not Cajun, which they mastered.

So I am sort of a native English speaker. Haha

we're Yankees (tant pis again!) and say 'ant'. our 29 yo son came home from NC and decided to start saying aunt properly because, after all, there's a U in that word. i replied, oh yes, like 'want'.

English! and you have to give the kids a hard time whenever possible. lol
