Why do you call that fiction? Are you a believer?

No need to cast the first stone. I believe this is just a case of poor wording in the original post of this thread. If I understand correctly, she is asking for fan fiction to be written about a situation where Jesus walks on water—similar to the gospel accounts of where He actually did walk on water.

Which is a better approach?

1) To clarify a poorly worded first post of this thread (as done in post #5), or

2) To question the faith of a relatively new member of CC (as done in post #2 and again in post #4)

More of your stone casting.
I was asking for clarification.
Sorry you took such exception to it.
Now go take your own advice.

If you're asking for a dramatized version of that gospel account, I'd love to try to write a short piece on that :). I can't promise it is what you're looking for, but I can try. It might take me a week or two.

As much as I enjoy a good argument, sometimes we all just need to relax.

I think Magenta, without any intent to offend, was just trying to understand WHY the OP would be asking such an unusual question.
And Prov was trying, in good conscience, to defend someone he felt was being attacked.

Maybe it was just a simple misunderstanding.

I'd much prefer we argue to the death about more substantial things.

Did somebody die? I was not trying to kill anyone. But, I was desirous of having false accusations against me stop. People don't like my straightforwardness and getting right to the point. Now, you, for instance, I have noticed you take a great deal of care and time to make a point, explaining very fully where you are coming from, and still you are misunderstood by some, and your points misconstrued, rejected, overlooked, etc. You usually do make very good points, and have a sense of humor as well, which is helpful not only to you and your sanity, but in having others accept you more readily than some they may perceive to be humorless. Here's the thing: My forthrightness does not conceal a lack of humor. In as much as I am able, my yes means yes and my no means no. I don't want to mince words. I don't NEED to say anything more than what I mean, nor am I inclined to just to appease those who are bent on maligning me.

i cant find anyone to make any i like
Which is why I write my own stories, because I often don't like the ones others write.

Now let's think this out. I love YA fantasy. Love, love, love it. Except, if you named the top 10 books in that genre I can almost guarantee I'd hate them. Why? Because it's not my cup of tea. I like fantasy, but don't think that means I like stories set in medieval England type villages, or ones with vampires, were-anything, dragons, and most dystopians. It's not me and it's not the writers. Each of us like a particular kind of story, and most stories -- even the ones published -- don't fit into what we like.

So, obvious question -- why do you think someone owes you a story simply because you can't find one to your liking? Pretty good odds you won't like that either, and why should anyone put in the effort to write a story for one person just because?

So, this goes back on you. If you want that one story, write it!

Not a put down. That's where I started writing, because I had a similar dilemma as you.
(I simply didn't think someone owed me that story I wanted.)

Here, I'll do one for you now!

(No hate pls)

One day, in Teletubbie land, Jesus was walking on water when he saw a small beach. He saw many famous celebrities there, like Pewdiepie, Eminem, Wario, Brock (with his jelly-filled donuts, of course), and the Poop Emoji. He realised that he had stumbled into Meme Beach! His stomach started to rumble. He then saw a grand Pizza Hut just sitting right on the grassy terrain meets the sand of the beach. And so he went. However, everyone stared as he continued to walk to the Pizza Hut. The visitors there found it too spooky 4 them, so everyone panicked, took pictures, and ran off. Jesus wondered why everyone ran away, then he looked down. He was still walking on the water. He then said "Oh." and then continued to walk to the Pizza Hut. Finally, he reached the Pizza Hut, ate his lunch, and his hunger was gone.

The End!

I agree with you. That was a very odd request to come from someone just shy of thirty-years of age.
