what is one rule that you follow but others often don't no matter the area and circumstance?
I'll start,at my job it is posted all around my work place not to use phones except for short conversations, not for games, texting or long conversations and I follow that rule but others including my bosses don't typically follow that rule.

Wash my hands after every encounter with soiled materials; or potentially soiled materials. Since my nursing practices, I can't help but remember that one. I always have been clean, but this now is a rule I can't escape., and I know many who don't at all care a lick, but it now grosses me out.

I went to a Burger King once and the management leaves the bathroom doors locked due to vagrancy. So, you have to ask to have one of the workers unlock it each time someone wants to use it. I see them take a order at the counter, fix their food and then stop and touch a filthy handle bathroom door and they go in to check it for cleanliness as well. Then they immediately go right back to preparing more food for people. That now grosses me out big time! And although it is illegal for them to practice this, they would think of me as a tightwad for even bringing it up.

I guess its God's way of telling me not to eat there anyway! Smile.

I know what you mean,if you make a comment about something at someone's workplace they act like you shouldn't have said anything or they make excuses, like one time at McDonald's I ordered a mc rib combo and me and my aunt waited at the curb as we were told to for about 30 minutes, then I went in to see what was taking so long and they started putting blame on one another for not being done with my order, they gave me some apple desserts as compensation, but still I thought"what a floor show"!

I don't roll up the tube as the toothpaste gets low. My wife can't stand that, so to appease her, I do it.

I follow all safety rules at the workplace. I used to to be the guy who enforced them to keep the company off of OSHA radar.

I always obey the speed limit. Always.

I never run in the school campus...that is what others are expected to do in my school, but what do I see? Primary, middle AND secondary students running in the campus!

Yeah, between rules I've seen disobeyed in school and at my current job,I feel like a lone wolf following rules given, like for example in school you aren't supposed to put gum under desks or anywhere except the garbage can yet what did other kids do,they put it under desks,on bleachers, and so on,also alot of my schools weren't very good about keeping an eye on bullies,so that golden rule stuff became a bit of useless.

Can this include self-made rules?

I always park in the back at church. I'm still young and strong, I don't have kids to herd into church, walking doesn't bother me nearly as much as it bothers a lot of people. And if it rains I can run to my car a lot easier than elderly or family people. When I get older I'll park closer.

Not sure it's a rule per se. When a child is acting inappropriately, and the parent says to their child "Stop that" we do not say, like many do, "No, it's OK!"

No, really it is not, and I don't get why others say that. I guess they just don't think? Why say that? It is telling the child the poor behavior is OK when the parent is correcting the child. We just don't say anything and support the corrective measures of the parents.

There are three stop signs within a block of my driveway. I always stop for them. Always. I'll bet 75% of the car that pass through merely slow to about 5 mph, but don't stop.

And I never text and drive. That's a terrible thing to do, and it's against the law in my state. But I see people doing it all the time.

Speed limits. Especially School Zones. (They are 15 mph here in Florida.)

There are "Overs" (front of the roll) and "Unders" (back of the roll) when it comes to the direction the Toilet Paper feeds off the roll. I am a staunch OVER, and it really bugs me to see the paper installed in what I consider the reverse of what it should be.

I park in the center of a parking space. Line-crowders irritate me, no end.

I am one of those who also choose not to go past 5 miles over the speed limit. So, if it is 55, I will NOT go beyond 60. If I do, I just know that I'm on the radar for sure, and will be pulled over. I fear a ticket and paying the price. I should be thinking about safety for me and others, but at the bottom line, it is about the $$.

Also compulsive about toilet paper pulled from the top. Don't others know how much easier it really is?!
