I get the lovely responsibility of being awake all night for the next week at work. I haven't worked overnights in quite a while and I am bored out of my mind. about 3-4 hours of my 8 hour shift are dead time. Nothing to do other than sit here and look pretty and wait for the phone to ring or someone to check in or out. (I work at a hotel) I wanted someone to talk to, but no one in the rooms is interesting right now, and I need to keep the sound off in case someone walks in.

So here I sit, with internet access, my cell phone in hand and Netflix on my Kindle Fire... What else is a girl supposed to do?

Lol. Sorry Scotty, I'm doing like 3 other things right now that would make it hard to carry on a conversation in the room. :(

Sorry. The paying job comes before the silliness.

The same thing a guy is supposed to do. Internet access, cell phone in hand and Netflix on Kindle Fire. Your set! ;)

I guess the problem is that I was at work and I'm technically not supposed to watch Netflix. I didn't end up doing it because the support people called to upgrade our system a full night early.

draw close to Jesus; take your bible, even a very small one, and read it
every chance that He gives to you...

Are you allowed to read? When I worked the overnight shift at a hospital, I was able to read a great many books. My friend at work and I also played board games and talked. We played many a game of Connect Four and checkers.

I can read. I've read many, man books while at work overnight. On a good night when I'm slow, i can finish a whole 300 page novel when i fee like it. I get in reading moods and devour books with my eyes for weeks at a time. When I don't feel like reading much for a while. I have many books in paper form, as well as quite a lot on my Kindle as well.

I do work alone at night when I do it, so unfortunately no board games for me.

I would read if I were you. I also found on the overnight shift it is good to drink copious amounts of coffee and to change activities ever so often. We had to check beds every fifteen minutes, so that staved off sleep to a degree. I used to do crossword puzzles in the newspaper, that was a good way to stay awake. I hate that you are alone, talking always helped.

My mind is exploding with ideas of what I would do! lol

Read Bible
Pray
Memorize Scripture
Write in my prayer journal
Knit
Hand-sew
Embroidery
Journaling
Letter-writing
Story-writing
Playing solitaire
Read novels
Do school work
Read poems
Read the dictionary (yep, I've been known to do that...)
Color one of those adult coloring books.

Do you want any more suggestions? :p

Talk to the Lord, who never leaves us or forsakes us, ask Him to give you divine encounters, someone may call as a wrong number , and perhaps you can soothe a weary or hurting soul.
Get a chess app, good for the noodle, like reading.
You are a good steward.

I used to color in those velvety posters with gel pens constantly. I have an album of about 75 of them I did over the course of a couple of months! It was a lot of fun.

I used to love those things! It has been several years since I've really seen them around. They used to be really "in" and you could get them everywhere. Now they're mostly at craft stores.

Amazon, girl!!! I've gotten TONS of them. You can get 18 packs of the small 8X10 ones for about $12. The gel pen sets I got 100 pens for about $20. Gotta love Amazon prices. :D
