With my eyes and a book one that you turn the pages.....I already stare at a computer screen way too much to read a book on a device.

Yes... there are some threads i'd have wanted to come to again, for example
http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/103801-thread-we-can-all-agree.html
... but as i cannot return after a short read once or twice, i just wonder whats it all about being discussed now... Sometimes although i also like to read on plants and gardening, i still much prefer tilling the soil itself and replanting, weeding etc. than hurting my eyes online=).

I'm on my fourth time through the bible too. This is the first time that I will have read the bible from Genesis through Revelation. Try to read 1 or 2 chapters a day. Started this latest project last September. Today I have read it through Jeremiah, Chapter 22. I agree with you in that what I read and understand in my own reading does not match a lot of what I read in the BDF. Somebody tries to make a point and throws up 20 or 30 verses. I really don't find the BDF to be spiritually edifying. Entertaining at times, sure. Amusing, often. Uplifting, no. Mostly, a lot of people trying to prove they'ew right and everyone else is wrong.
There! I knew i had to get back to ur post. It is good to hear abt ur Bible reading. Just 2 days ago, i heard a preacher say abt 80% of Christians are not really reading the Bible. Whether a large part of that is the new Christians, it still shows why we, many of us, are not being blessed. I mean, there are times i want to reread the whole Book too, but i can be very selective and reread only parts, like Psalms or Proverbs. And that can be selfish in a way, coz i be eating only what i like, and not what God intended. Just as with physical food, He does not want us just taking nuts for weeks, does He? I hope we all eat our daily Bread at the right time too, not just for ourselves, but to be able to share with others who are hungry.

I have
started to read AARP too=). And depending on the read, i like to take notes on notebooks, preferably on a table! And reading online does not allow me to write on paper, that is why the need to print out first.
