... Ladle (since it is "mestolo" in Italian) .
Aiken John

A song we sang as children.

”He played upon a ladle, a ladle, a ladle.
He played upon a ladle, and his name was Aiken John.
His hat was made of good cream cheese, of good cream cheese, of good cream cheese.
His hat was made of good cream cheese, and his name was Aiken John.
His vest was made of crust of pies, of crust of pies, of crust of pies.
His vest was made of crust of pies, and his name was Aiken John.”

I am guessing Aiken John was a medieval cook? The word ladle always makes me think of this song.

I was curious, so just googled the origins. The song is supposed to be Aiken Drum, not Aiken John. He was a Scottish brownie, or fairy. Now, I know.

well, about the 'tweezers'!!!,
so far, all we've needed them for was to pluck-out 'tics', but, always after dosing with T-TREE OIL,
you can actually see their nasty little gripped for life legs going into spasms...

because hub and I are so close, there's probably no telling how many times that
we have helped each other from getting 'lime disease'...deer and turkey, almost daily
visitors, maybe even more often, as we have a lot of tree line and go out there to
rake leaves for the garden, you know, where they've walked and all...but they
actually come right into our garden area, for the first time this year, we planted
cabbage on the outside and they ate it all, we've never had a deer problem before...

the turkeys just seem to leave our garden alone, it really seems like they are
being 'respectful' of our space...

we've had several neighbors contact 'lime' disease in the recent last few years...
