God has put this on my heart, and I'm making this thread into the Miscellaneous thread forum because this will not be a conspiracy based post. It's all based on fact. There are people who truly believe the Earth is flat. And while they have there reasons, and many of them take scripture out of context and use it to justify their claims, no where in the King James does it say that the Earth is flat, look it up, nowhere in it. If God's word truly wanted us to know the Earth was flat, it would have the translation flat. But it does not. Other translations have it stated as a disk, but that's another translation, and it's been proven the King James is the closest most accurate account from those who wrote God's word. Now that being said, there are a few here, and you will know them by their posts, who will try to convince you otherwise that Earth is indeed flat, and their claims may sound pretty solid, but mathematically and rationally speaking, their false. Hands down. The truth is, they want you to believe that organizations ,such as NASA, are deceiving money grabbing schemers out to deceive the masses that the Earth is round. And they have websites, videos, pictures and all kinds of postings to try and back up their claims to the asinine claim the Earth is flat. But what's really odd is we have TONS of videos that show the world is round, but where are THEIR videos showing us how flat it truly is, or reaching the "edge" of the earth where the supposed ICE WALL is to keep us from going over it. Like every claim they throw up, it just falls...............flat. Ask a person who supports the flat Earth to explain how the sun rises in the East every morning and sets in the West, EVERY afternoon. Ask them how is it possible that when the sun is just cracking on the East Coast, say in New York, that the it is still very much nighttime in say Seattle. Ask them to explain why we have a change of seasons, or even ask them what force keeps us from floating off the face of the Earth. Better yet, ask them why when it's daylight here in the states, is it nightfall in Abu Dhabi? Or how about when it's winter time here in the United States, countries south of the equator are experiencing summer weather. They'll give you ridiculous answers : example, our sun is a "spotlight" sun, shining here, then there. That's just dumb.....if that were the case, being the Earth were flat, the whole EARTH would experience some form of sunlight to a degree. Some places would be better illuminated than others, but there would be constant light. Which there is not, we know this. And how do you explain the phases of the moon, when the shadows of the Earth show it waning or waxing? Where's the sun during it's phases? It should be directly overhead shouldn't it?? Well, how odd....what a hole I have poked in your logic. Any one who comes at you to convince you the Earth is flat, is obviously a conspiracy theorist, and conspiracy theorists thrive on giving out information they perceive to be true under their own pretenses, whether it be by reading, watching the television, or surfing the internet too much. That's THEIR basis, they don't experience these things, and if they did, they would sing a different tune. I speak from experience. I work for Boeing Aerospace, we support and supply NASA and I support the programs who build the capsules for rockets and the satellites for Low Earth orbit. They claim that everything that we do is a hoax, a cover up, to deceive the masses, that rockets and satellites don't exist, that rockets don't leave the Earths atmosphere, or that all we do is just go to work and sit around and do nothing. The audacity that these kind of people make is a direct insult to those who work in these fields and those have worked their whole life to explore and to study, and to reach heights never reached before. I seriously doubt any of these so called flat earthers have ever experienced anything in the astrological or aerospace business. That's something they know absolutely nothing about. I, along with so many others work in this field day in, and day out. We just recently had an order from SES to buy a handful of our satellites to help with the ever growing demand of broadband. And on that note, think about this for a second. And this is a fact. There are over 70 countries who have or are currently developing a space program. 6 of them have verifiable satellites in orbit around the Earth and 2 of these organizations have circled or landed on the moon. Oh wait, the moon landings and Earth missions are fake, didn't ya know? Really? So you can explain why 7 astronauts lost their life in February when the shuttle Columbia broke apart coming back through Earth's imaginary atmosphere? Or, how about the fact that Apollo 13's mission had to be scrubbed because of the oxygen tanks blowing on the service module? They have the actually capsule on display in Hutchinson, Kansas for the WHOLE WORLD to see. You can clearly see the effects from re-entry and tell that it has been used. But on that note, think of the Russians and the Japanese, especially, who have satellites in orbit taking photos of the Earth and sending them back real time. I've sat and listened to former astronauts of the shuttle program reminisce of their experiences and former test pilots who have flown at more than 300,000 feet above the Earth, and they will all tell you it's not flat when you're high enough to see the curvature. That's how massive our planet is. If NASA was supposedly "deceiving" people as they claim, then these countries would HAVE to be part of that conspiracy. And don't think for one minute if what NASA was providing wasn't true, that these countries wouldn't call us out, especially Japan after everything that went on in World War 2. You truly don't think people behind THAT size of a conspiracy wouldn't leak it out that everything these organizations say or do is false? Um.....no....last time i checked, i didn't sign an agreement to work for an organization that said I had to keep quiet about the fake products we're producing behind closed doors. And last i checked, people from these organizations weren't turning up missing or dead because they were leaking information. Something of that scale would be HUGE in the news, yet never a word about it, only from the conspiracy theorists and flat earth people. People going as far back to the Greeks determined the Earth to be round in shape, and that is historically proven. It's documented for us all to study and to understand. God gave us eyes, but he also gave us a brain to use. Daniel 12 : 4 speaks about how many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. God allows our knowledge to be increased! Because we discover things, doesn't dismiss that our God is not real, it PROCLAIMS him, all the more! I'm not here to condemn, and i'm not here to judge. I'm just here to give the facts from someone who lives, breathes, and works in this field and knows the truth. They can say my eyes deceive me all the want to, but they are quick to point the finger when three point right back at them. It's up to you to decide what you believe, just as God allows us to choose his Son as our Lord and Savior. If they say when you believe the Earth is round that you support the main stream, atheist view of things, that's a lie straight out of the pits of Hell. You can be a follower of Jesus Christ and still learn and discover things. MANY top scientists and employees of NASA and other administrations of science are Christian. Don't let them deceive you with foolish thinking. God bless you all.
